Today we celebrated the last day of Hafsa .ahsan99 and Zainab’s three week internship at the Speech and Language Center! These graduate students from Pakistan not only completed observation hours toward ASHA credentialing, they also brought curiosity, warmth, and a fresh perspective to our team. We’ve loved having them in the clinic, learning from their questions and sharing in their journey, and we’ll truly miss their energy. A huge shout out to our intern coordinator, Madeleine, for making this experience seamless and meaningful. Congratulations Hafsa and Zainab, we can’t wait to see the amazing impact you’ll make as future SLPs in your communities!

🎉🎉🎉We’re proud to share that our Occupational Therapist, Aimee, has successfully completed the Introductory Level C Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) course, the final tier of the foundational series, arming her with over 115 specialized exercises to support children with developmental delays and motor challenges. This advanced training places her ahead in her toolbox, ready to enhance strength, coordination, balance, and independence in her clients. Adrienne, Alex, and Caleigh, three of our SLPs, spent the day diving deep into AAC at UVA’s August 9th workshop. From exploring different device software to learning practical strategies for successful implementation, they came away with new tools, ideas, and inspiration to better support our AAC users and their teams.

💧The Hydration Challenge 💧is officially underway at the SLC, and Katie might be taking it a little too seriously. Our compliance manager is starting strong with the biggest jug she could find!

We’re inviting all of our families and patients to join in too. Set a daily water goal that feels right for you. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about showing up, staying mindful, and having a little fun along the way. Share your progress and tag us in your stories so we can cheer you on. Let’s do this together!
