Spirit Reins is a non-profit organization providing speech therapy services both within a traditional clinical setting as well as incorporating Hippotherapy as a treatment strategy. Hippotherapy is a physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy treatment strategy that utilizes equine movement as part of an integrated intervention program to achieve functional outcomes. ded by certified professionals in their respective fields: Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Patients receive therapy under a covered arena with unique sensory stations, as well as along a beautiful nature trail through the woods. Our mission is to create a unique rehabilitative experience for individuals with disabilities using the horse as a tool to improve their confidence, self-esteem, and quality of life. We utilize the human-horse bond to improve motor, sensory, speech, and behavioral/social responses in individuals with physical, mental, emotional, or communication challenges. Spirit Reins has served individuals with disabilities from our community and surrounding areas since 2009.
