Although I have placed 1-on-1 coaching on hold, this my reminder to you that your health is still, and always will be, SO important, especially in these trying times. While these photos are showing more of a physical change, the decrease in pressure on my mental and emotional health has been insurmountable since being back in the gym. Now, whenever I feel myself being sunken down by social media, the news, or my current stressors, rather than allowing that pressure to build inside me, I can channel it once again into something productive- we loveeee self-growth!! ๐Ÿ’ซ

Whether it's your home environment, your job, social media, etc. be MINDFUL of your surroundings and what is causing you stress because that stress WILL spill into other boxes of your life. If you can control ONE aspect, you can learn to control them all. It all starts with just a small amount of effort and some consistency. ๐Ÿ”„

REMEMBER: If you're consistent, you will get it. If you are persistent, you will keep it!

Izzy and I have spent almost 1 year working together and this girl has not only lost 40+lbs. but has...

- Started her dream job ๐ŸŽ (3 of them to be exact!)
- Gained an immeasurable amount of confidence ๐Ÿ’…
- Learned how to maintain her training/diet without me ๐Ÿ˜‡

She overcame a pandemic during her weight-loss journey AND preserved her commitment to her health- both physical AND emotional when there where times I couldn't *physically* be there with her. A sign of true discipline and desire for change, despite any/all hurdles thrown her way and THAT is how she has been, and continues to be, so successful.

"Hustle in silence and let your success make the noise." ๐Ÿคซ

I am in tears right now as I'm typing this post. This pandemic has made it so hard for all of us to maintain our routines, normalcy, and overall wellness in every dimension imaginable. But today, my heart is OVERFLOWING with passion and fulfillment.

This is Izzy: In November of 2019, Izzy contacted me eager to snag my last open coaching spot. She had wanted to coach with me before, but at the time was unsure if it was something she really wanted and could do. With a history of being an athlete, she loves to ride horses ๐Ÿ‡ (hell of a leg workout btw LOL), and has always been familiar with eating healthy. Working multiple jobs, Izzy fell into a pattern of buying any foods that were fast and cheap, due to the nature of her restaurant job she ate out more times than most, and like many people, struggled to find the motivation to get to the gym. In addition, her social/emotional support system was lacking and she felt scrutinized in her desire to change her lifestyle. This is where I came in. ๐Ÿ‘ญ

THIS GIRL is a strong example of why I do what I do. She was a person who CRAVED a change. In our short 7 months together, she has shifted from uncontrollable eating patterns to tracking her calories and loving what she eats, from questioning the speed of the process to accepting the patience that is vital to keeping the goal in sight. She also no longer complains about her post-training soreness and actually CHASES IT now (that's a true weight-lifter quality right there, HA). She reminds me soo much of me when I was 19 at the start of my binge eating disorder and waking up one day and saying, "Enough is enough." She made this same commitment 7 months ago and has not let up since. What's even more admirable is that when the curveball of the pandemic caused our training in the gym to be postponed, instead of falling into a victim mindset, Izzy chose to zero in on her diet and has maintained her healthy eating habits resulting in an EXTRA 7lb. weight loss without the help of the gym. ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿด

It brings me so much joy to share the heart, drive, and transformation of this sweet girl, and I hope she can inspire and remind you that it only takes one decision to turn your life around- the decision to put your foot down and take responsibility for your life and know CHANGE IS POSSIBLE. This is possible because of the hard work and commitment that she continues to put in day-in and day-out, all I did was hold her hand. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

"We are who we choose to be." - Iron Giant ๐Ÿค–

๐Ÿ”นYou have all the tools necessary to change your life. All you need is food, water, and some scientific or even NON-scientific workout regimes to be successful in your physical pursuits. HOWEVER, If any of the said things above are not working out for you right now, it's probably because you have lost control in other aspects of your life that are now affecting your health and body.

๐Ÿ”น Outside influences such as work, stress, relationships, etc can create many dietary/physiological byproducts that then become bigger issues if not noticed sooner.

EXAMPLES:
1๏ธโƒฃ You're no longer getting enough sleep = low energy level, low appetite, all around making your body a low functioning machine.
2๏ธโƒฃ You're stressed out to the max = you go for the sugar/carb loaded foods to help raise those dopamine/serotonin hormone levels.
3๏ธโƒฃ You're not eating enough because you have no appetite/are too busy to eat = slow metabolism and now higher storage of fat.
4๏ธโƒฃ You're unhappy emotionally and use food/alcohol as comfort = a whole host of issues arise from this combo (this was my issue on left photo).

๐Ÿ”น I've had clients in the past tell me they have a hard time eating healthy/finding time to eat, only for them to sooner realize that what they *actually* have is a food-anxiety that causes them to binge eat at the simple sight of food due to their fear of having limited food options in the future. This is why SELF-REFLECTION and a deep, and I mean DEEP understanding of one's core issue(s) is key to knowing where to start with your fitness journey. The starting point is how you catapult to the end goal.

๐Ÿ”น Bodybuilding first taught me how to track my food so I wouldn't binge. Secondly, having to perform at high levels meant I couldn't be hungover all the time so I ditched the alcohol. Lastly, when I started to see how strong I was in the weight room, my confidence in myself grew, making me less likely to self-sabotage once I got home around food.

๐Ÿ”น I took every core issue I was deeply struggling with and attacked them with principles of exercise. I was able to stop all the behavioral issues that were ruining my overall well-being and change my physique in the process...which was a plus but NOT the primary reason I got into fitness ๐Ÿ˜‰ Some of you may just simply want to tone, trim, cut up, and that is OK! But for a lot of us, we find ourselves once healthy/fit and then one day we are no longer healthy/fit because of a deeper issue that has now run wild. In sum: pay attention to those little details/behaviors and it makes the bigger picture a lot easier to control and achieve. ๐Ÿ’ช

Just wanted to update & say coaching spots are now FULL.โ˜‘๏ธ I only allowed for 2 spots (first come, first serve so I'm SO sorry to anyone who applied afterward!) and here's why:

Within my first year of coaching I learned so much about quality vs. quantity. My very first client consumed a lot of my energy from the get-go due to her starting place, current health issues, and expectations. I was very determined to do a complete transformation with her as my first "test-run" of the knowledge I had accumulated over the last 8 years + newly earned certification. ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ

However, because I was also trying to grow my business, I was quick to accept any/all clients who applied to my coaching, giving me at one point in time 4 clients between two gyms.

It didn't take long for me to realize what TYPE of coach I was fit to be. I realized just because I had more clientele, didn't mean I was doing MORE with them. Every client gets the same allotted time for training, but each client varies in their commitment, priorities, and mindset. Nonetheless, all past clients I enjoyed and had connections with, but like many health professionals...โฌ‡๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ธA coach and client have to meet in the middle- meaning if I didn't feel a client had as much time, energy, or openness to learning and training as me, I knew we wouldn't be a great fit.๐Ÿ”ธ

This did NOT mean those clients weren't a good fit for personal training, it just meant MY style of coaching would not have benefitted them as much as another coach might have. In fact, I have recently passed on a past client to another coach in hopes they could provide a new style/approach that my client was looking for. It's all about YOU and how WE can best help YOU achieve your goals- and being a good fit is always in your best interest.

*** I'm going to post both the services I offer but as of now, I will be accepting more ONLINE than IN-PERSON clients. If you wish to do in-person, it can be discussed ***

IN-PERSON ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ: I will be going back to school this August so my 1-on-1 coaching will be SUPER limited but my rates are still the same:
โ–ช๏ธ$25 per session (time varies based on intensity/style of workout)
โ–ช๏ธA membership Harrisonburg & Bridgewater 24/7 Family Fitness is REQUIRED
โ–ช๏ธMinimum of 3-4 sessions a week to maximize your results (1-2 days a week is NOT worth your time or mine)
~
ONLINE ๐Ÿ“ฑ: Online coaching is ONLY for people who are extremely familiar with the gym, the equipment, and common exercises.
โ–ช๏ธ$8 per day/program
โ–ช๏ธ3-4 days MINIMUM to, again, maximize your results
โ–ช๏ธIncludes the TrueCoach app that can be downloaded on your phone to have the workouts in your hand and access to them whenever you'd like.

In sum: I'm being very picky on who I'm taking on for coaching due to time restraints. โณ These programs are all CUSTOMIZED to your goals, body type/composition, and style of training.

Everybody's body comes in different shapes and sizes. I've now coached two women that are very different in ages. My first client being 38 and Jess, pictured below, 23.

However, these women all have one thing in common- they carry the will and the power to change their lives and it's simply my job to remind them they have it. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผโšก๏ธ

Jess doubted the process at first. She was unsure of her efforts and wondered if she'd ever be comfortable in her own skin. She watched the scale daily and couldn't seem to find the results she was working for. After telling her to look deeper within herself and look for changes that aren't as "absolute" as a number on a scale, she found these 2 photos.

Similar to myself, growing up an athlete, Jess always had a love for competition and performance. By going to the gym for as little 3 months (so far) Jess has been reminded of how AMAZING her body is and how her previous cheerleading athleticism has remained a part of her. ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Now, she has since accepted that the scale is not a key predictor of change. ๐Ÿ‘€โš–๏ธ

No amount of "falling off the wagon" or years of "bad food" can prevent a person from making a comeback and that's EXACTLY what Jess has done and continues to do daily. Came into the game thinking I would be an "average" coach. That I could instill *some* knowledge and minor changes in a person's body/health. I realized as months went on that as a coach, YOU LEARN WITH YOUR CLIENTS. You both are on this journey of overcoming each other's weaknesses and strengths. When she couldn't perform a specific move, I'd have to go home and learn some modifications. When she would succeed at a lift, she would smile at me and say, "Thanks for the push, coach." In this job, you work alongside your clients and learn how to both become the best versions of yourselves. Forever grateful to have the opportunity to watch this woman grow physically and mentally. This application is open for TWO people who are really driven and head-set on making a change in their health. Why you are asked to *apply* for my coaching is because the clients I accept will receive specialized/individualized programming that caters to their specific goals, body type, schedule, etc. I don't create fluff workouts/nor provide a generic service, therefore in applying for coaching you are asking for something effective and REAL. โœ”๏ธ

This is also why I am picky about who I choose to train: My very first client has lost 60lbs. in 4 months with a VERY consistent and committed 3 days a week of training, while other clients have quit within the first week due to lack of commitment. If you are not willing to commit, I am not willing to coach you..(tough love I know ๐Ÿคญ).
