So many great take aways from the Postural Restoration Institute Advanced Integration course yesterday, but here is one of my favorites and an important thing to keep in mind clinically: “There is no such thing as a primary muscle of respiration, every muscle in your body knows when you’re inhaling and exhaling.” - Ron Hruska ,

This week’s technique of the week is the single leg trunk rotation exercise. This technique is a great way to improve foot and ankle stability during trunk rotation which is an essential part of walking and running. Give this a shot and see how well you can do this exercise. If you’re having a lot of difficulty with it, give us a call and we’ll develop a program to build your foot and ankle stability.

What are stupid feet? Stupid feet refers to feet that have trouble sensing the floor and where they are in space. One of the most important things we do in building a rehab program is make sure you’re in the right shoes and that you can sense the floor. If you can’t sense the floor, higher level functional exercises won’t be effective like they should be. Stop letting an issue like this derail your program and contact us to find out how you can address this problem!
