Our residents and staff had so much fun with their oinking toy pigs as well as naming them , and we were beyond excited to share that local shelters also enjoyed receiving these playful pigs to support dogs far and near 🐶🐷
Seeing joy spread from our home to the community—and into the paws of pups in need—made today even more meaningful 🥹💛 It was pleasure to meet with each shelter- to disperse over 200 pigs to Harrisonville Animal Shelter , Lillys Rescue and Rehab, Pleasent Hill Animal Shelter, Raymore and Belton Animal Shelter!

Let’s continue to support adoption and help every puppy find a loving forever home 💖

🐾 “A puppy’s love is forever — small paws, big hearts.” 💕

We LOVE our nursing staff here… and let’s be real — they deserve a trophy, a nap, and probably a snack at all times 😂👏

There are days when things get a little wild, call lights are singing their own symphony, and the chaos is chaos-ing… and that’s when you’ll find our amazing nurses doing what they do best:

✨ Stuffing an ear (just a little 😉)
✨ Smiling through it all
✨ And still giving the BEST care with the biggest hearts

Because no matter how busy, loud, or unpredictable the day gets… our nursing team shows up with patience, compassion, and just enough humor to keep us all going ❤️

We see you. We appreciate you. And we might owe you coffee… lots of coffee ☕😂

☀️ What a BEAUTIFUL day at Meadowview! ☀️

We took full advantage of this gorgeous 83-degree sunshine, and you could feel the joy the moment you stepped outside! 🌿💛 Residents were out walking in the grass, soaking up the warmth, fresh air, and all the happiness that comes with a perfect spring day.

Our Memory Care residents had such a special time painting with water—watching their artwork magically appear brought smiles, pride, and a wonderful sense of accomplishment 🎨✨

And the fun didn’t stop there… our Therapy Department had everyone moving and grooving, jamming to the tunes while getting in some great exercise! 🎶💃 You could hear the laughter and music filling the air—it was truly one of those days you never want to end. Moments like these are what it’s all about—sunshine, smiles, movement, and making memories together ❤️

💙 The Heart Behind Every Hello & Every Hug 💙

There are moments in life when everything feels uncertain… when families are searching for comfort, answers, and a place where their loved one will truly be cared for. In those moments, they are met with two of the most compassionate hearts we know — our incredible Social Worker and our amazing Admissions Coordinator, Sabrina.

Sabrina is often the very first voice families hear — and what a blessing that is. With kindness in every word and reassurance in every conversation, she gently walks beside families during one of life’s hardest transitions. She doesn’t just help with admissions… she brings peace to worried hearts and turns fear into comfort.

And our Social Worker… the quiet strength, the listening ear, the steady hand to hold. The one who sits a little longer, listens a little deeper, and understands even what isn’t said out loud. In moments of uncertainty, grief, and change, she brings compassion that can not be taught — only felt. She advocates, she uplifts, and she reminds every resident and family that they are never alone.

Together, you both create something so special within our walls — a feeling that this isn’t just a facility… it’s home. A place where hearts are cared for just as much as people.

Because of you, families find comfort.
Because of you, residents feel seen, heard, and loved.
Because of you… Meadowview is more than a building — it’s a family.

Thank you for the endless compassion, the quiet sacrifices, and the love you pour into every single day. The impact you make goes far beyond what can ever be measured.

We are so incredibly blessed to have you. 💙

🏀✨ March Madness is in full swing at Meadowview! ✨📚

Today was full of excitement, friendly competition, and celebration as our residents created their very own March Madness brackets alongside our wonderful friends from ACG Hospice! The room was filled with cheers, laughter, and a little bit of competitive spirit as everyone made their picks and followed the action. 🏀💥

But the fun didn’t stop there! 📖💛
We were also thrilled to partner with the Cass County Outreach Library- Taylor and Joyce, who recognized our amazing readers with special cups for those who have read 5 or more books through the Cass County Public Library outreach program What an incredible accomplishment—our residents continue to inspire us every day with their love for learning and staying engaged!

Moments like these remind us that life here is about so much more than activities… it’s about connection, achievement, and joy shared together.

A heartfelt thank you to David and Stephanie with ACG Hospice and the Cass County Outreach Library Taylor and Joyce for making today so meaningful for our residents. 💚

🍀💚 A St. Patrick’s Day to Remember at Meadowview! 💚🍀

Today wasn’t just a celebration… it was a day full of joy, connection, and moments that truly touched the heart. 💚

Our halls were filled with laughter as residents and staff proudly dressed in their festive green, bringing smiles to every corner of our home. Watching everyone come together—laughing, cheering, and simply enjoying each other—was nothing short of magical.

From the sweet moments of cookie decorating 🍪—made extra special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice and Devin for the delicious homemade cookies—to the excitement and friendly competition of our Shamrock Scavenger Hunt 🍀 (with some very happy prize winners!), every activity brought out the joy and spirit in all of us.

And let’s not forget the smiles when our lucky winners found the pot of gold—each receiving an adorable squeaky pig 🐷 and getting to name their new little friend! The laughter and creativity in those names made it even more special.

And then… our Sip & Stroll ✨
What a beautiful time it was shared among our residents, staff, and our wonderful Cass County Library on Wheels. The laughter, conversations, and special moments created today will be cherished for a long time.

💚 To our amazing staff, residents, Cass County Library on Wheels, and Good Shepherd Hospice (especially Devin, Taylor and Joyce) — thank you.
You didn’t just celebrate today… you helped create meaningful moments filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Today was a reminder that here at Meadowview, we are more than a facility…
✨ We are a family. ✨

And days like today are exactly what make this house a home. 💚🍀

🎶🍀 Oldies, Bingo & A Trip to Ireland! 🇮🇪

It was a fun-filled day here at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation as our residents enjoyed a lively game of Music Bingo featuring all the oldies! The room was filled with toe tapping, singing along, laughter, and a little friendly competition as everyone tried to recognize their favorite classic tunes. 🎵

The adventure didn’t stop there! Residents also took an Armchair Travel Tour to beautiful Ireland, where they put their minds to the test with lots of Irish trivia, learning about Ireland’s history, traditions, and famous landmarks. They also challenged themselves by identifying different flags from around the world, keeping their minds active while sharing plenty of laughs along the way. 🌍🍀

And the fun isn’t over yet! Tomorrow we have another day full of St. Patrick’s Day festivities planned including a Shamrock Hunt, Cookie Decorating, and our very special Sip & Stroll event where we open our doors to the community. We invite everyone to come visit, sip, and stroll with us from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere with our beloved residents. 💚

At Meadowview, every day is filled with laughter, learning, and memories made together. 🍀

🍀 Shamrocks Across America – What an Incredible Journey! 🍀
Our Shamrocks Across America wall here at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation, located in our wonderful hometown of Harrisonville, Missouri just outside of Kansas City, has been an overwhelming success! 💚

Residents, staff, families, and visitors have thoroughly enjoyed stopping by to read the shamrocks that have arrived from facilities and friends across the country. Each shamrock carries a little piece of kindness, connection, and community — bringing smiles, conversations, and excitement as we watch our wall grow.

Our residents especially love seeing how far the shamrocks have traveled and reading the heartfelt messages from across the United States. It truly reminds us how connected we all are.

We are getting so close to filling our map, but we still need 17 more states to make it complete!

States we are still missing:
Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah, and Wyoming.

📧 Please email your shamrock to:
Shawna – Activities Director
activities@meadowviewhr.com

We will proudly add it to our wall for all of our residents, staff, and visitors to enjoy!

We’ve also attached a shamrock from our wonderful home here in Missouri in case you do not yet have one from our state. We would love to exchange with you!

Thank you to everyone who has already participated. Watching our residents light up as they read each new shamrock has truly been heartwarming.

🍀 Let’s see if we can complete all 50 states together! 🇺🇸💚

🐣🌷 Things are getting EGG-cited here at Meadowview Health & Rehabilitation! 🌷🐣
Our residents have been busy stuffing eggs with delicious treats as we prepare for our upcoming Easter Egg Extravaganza for all the wonderful children in our community. There’s still many eggs to fill, but the smiles and laughter along the way have been priceless.
Residents have also been enjoying the beautiful weather, painting wooden race cars, and sharing laughs over some delicious beer cheese dip. What makes it even more special is seeing our residents’ beloved family members joining in the activities, along with our amazing staff and their loved ones. Moments like these remind us that Meadowview truly is one big family. 💛
A special thank you to Rhonda from HR for recognizing National Popcorn Day and delivering popcorn goodies to our wonderful staff. Small acts of kindness like this mean so much. 🍿 We would also like to thank Mike who came and performed some classic Irish songs that everyone enjoyed and sang to!
We are excited to open our doors to the community for two special events — our Sip & Stroll this Tuesday and the Easter Egg Extravaganza!
✨ We still have many eggs to stuff and would love your help! Candy donations are greatly appreciated so our residents can continue filling eggs for all of your wonderful children.
Together, we are creating memories filled with joy, kindness, and community. 🐰🥚💐

✨ Happy National Administrator’s Week ✨

Today we want to take a moment to recognize someone truly special to our Meadowview family — our incredible Administrator, Amy.

Being an administrator in a skilled nursing and memory care community takes a heart full of compassion, endless dedication, and the ability to lead with both strength and kindness. Amy brings all of that and more to Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation each and every day.

Her leadership is felt in every hallway, every department, and every smile from our residents. From supporting our staff, encouraging teamwork, and always putting our beloved residents first — Amy leads with a servant’s heart and a genuine love for the people who call Meadowview home.

Because of Amy, our building isn’t just a facility… it’s a family. A place where residents are cared for with dignity, staff feel supported, and everyone works together to create meaningful days filled with comfort, laughter, and connection.

Amy, thank you for your tireless dedication, your guidance, and the countless ways you uplift everyone around you. We are truly grateful for the heart you pour into this community.

💙 Your Meadowview family appreciates you more than words can express.

🎶 An Afternoon of Faith, Family, and Beautiful Memories 🎶

Our hearts were truly blessed today at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation. Paul and Tom joined us to share the gift of music, singing beloved Gospel hymns that filled our room with joy, comfort, and cherished memories. As the familiar songs played, many of our residents softly sang along, smiled, and reflected on the faith-filled moments these hymns have carried through their lives.

What made the afternoon even more special was seeing their proud mother watching as her sons performed. The love, pride, and emotion in the room reminded us all how powerful music and family can be. Moments like these bring people together, touch hearts, and remind us that the simplest things—music, faith, and family—can create the most meaningful memories.

Thank you, Paul and Tom, for sharing your voices and your hearts with our residents. Your music brought warmth and joy that will stay with us long after the last note was sung. ❤️🎶
