This week, we proudly celebrate our incredible Activities Department—Shawna-Activities Director and Jacob- Activities Assistant💛

Through every season, they bring purpose, joy, connection, and meaning into the lives of our residents. From laughter-filled games and creative crafts to music, celebrations, and one-on-one moments that truly matter, their work goes far beyond a calendar of events—it brings life to our home every single day. What truly makes our nursing home special is that every role, every department, and every team member matters. From nursing, therapy, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, administration, activities, central supply, each department plays a vital role in keeping our residents safe, supported, and thriving.

🇺🇸 A Quilt of Valor: A Quilted Hug of Gratitude 🇺🇸

Today at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation, we were humbled to witness the presentation of a Quilt of Valor, a powerful and deeply emotional recognition reserved for service members and veterans who have been touched by war. This quilt is far more than fabric and stitches—it is a tangible token of gratitude, often described as a “quilted hug,” offering warmth, comfort, and healing.

A Quilt of Valor carries a three-part message from the community:
✨ Honor for Service — recognizing the courage and sacrifice of leaving loved ones to stand in harm’s way.
✨ Freedom Is Not Free — acknowledging the personal cost paid to protect our nation.
✨ Comfort and Healing — a reminder that our veterans are not alone and are forever held in the hearts of a grateful community.

Every detail holds meaning:
🧵 The top represents the community coming together.
🧵 The batting symbolizes warmth, peace, and comfort.
🧵 The backing reflects the strength of the veteran, their family, and the nation they defended.
🧵 The stitches carry love, gratitude, and often tears from the hands that created it.

For many veterans, this presentation serves as a long-overdue “Welcome Home.” It ensures their service is seen, honored, and never forgotten. Recorded and labeled with care, each Quilt of Valor becomes a lasting keepsake—an heirloom of honor and remembrance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the family members who attended today, whose love and support stand as a powerful testament to the sacrifices made not only by our veterans, but by their families as well.

Hey everyone! 🎉 The start of this year has been packed with fun—just the way we love it! Our days have been filled with Bingo, fancy nails, relaxing hand massages, snow globe making, ball toss, Sittercise, and meaningful Bible Study. We even rocked the house with an unforgettable Elvis birthday bash complete with grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches, trivia, nonstop jamming to his greatest hits, and movie marathons fit for the King himself! 🎸✨
And the best part? The month isn’t over yet—there’s still so much more fun, laughter, and memories ahead. We can’t wait to share every amazing moment with you all! 💙

As we welcome a new year, Meadowview Health & Rehabilitation reflects with heartfelt gratitude on the memories made throughout 2025.
This year was shaped by every person who came through our doors—our residents, families, staff, volunteers, visitors, and loved ones who touched our community in countless ways.

In both Skilled Nursing and Memory Care, we shared moments that will stay with us forever—quiet conversations, laughter drifting down the halls, familiar songs that lit up a room, and gestures of kindness that reminded us of the power of connection.
Each memory, whether big or small, became part of the story we carry forward.

As we step into 2026, we bring with us the strength, hope, and love that filled this past year.
May the new year bring peace, comfort, joy, and new memories to hold close to our hearts.
