One of my favorite ways to regulate my nervous system when I'm feeling anxious is to sing. Singing is one way to activate the Vagus nerve, which tells your brain that it is safe enough to rest and digest. Also, spending time singing songs that make you happy will clearly improve your mood in a lot of circumstances. This is part of my happiness playlist which includes songs from just about every genre you can imagine. What do they have in common? I can't help, but sing along when they are playing. What would be on your playlist?
