Happy Earth Day from CAFCA! 💚 The Academy on Main started the day with a wonderful group workout led by Alexa Carter from the Mercer Co. Health Department! Then we headed out to help with the Main Street clean-up! What a fun day to celebrate and care for ourselves and our planet! 🌎

It’s our favorite yoga teacher’s birthday! We are so incredibly grateful to Cala Coleman for teaching our Academy on Main participants over the years! We value this special time to move our bodies and connect with ourselves and appreciate all the work she has put into her classes for us! Happy Birthday, Cala!!

We had a wonderful day planting pinwheels in the Lancaster Square to honor Child Abuse Prevention Month! 💙 Huge thank you to Whitaker Bank for their support, DCBS, New Vista, Garrard Co. Attourney’s Office and the team at the Garrard Co. Courthouse for coming out! We love getting to connect and raise awareness for a cause we are all working daily to support! Join us tomorrow for our first annual pinwheel planting in Lancaster! We have loved getting to be a part of this community and greatly appreciate all the support from Garrard County Schools, Garrard Chamber of Commerce, and many other community partners!!

Make plans to attend the Pinwheel Planting for Child Abuse Prevention Month this Friday at noon at 79 Public Square presented by Children and Family Counseling Associates, INC and sponsored by Whitaker Bank, both members of the Garrard County Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our pinwheel planting in Harrodsburg today! Whitaker Bank our pinwheel sponsor! Mercer County DCBS, CASA of the Bluegrass, Mercer County Public Library, The Harrodsburg Herald, Black Watch Alpacas/Little Shoppe, and the team at the Mercer County Courthouse who graciously host us each year! Our CAFCA staff brought along The Academy on Main participants and we all enjoyed the sunshine & time together! We are always so grateful to everyone who joins in to support this mission to raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention! There are so many events going on across the state this month! Follow Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) to learn more about how you can get involved and make Kentucky a safer place for all kids!
