BREAKING NEWS! "HANDY" ANDY MINER BUYS THE HARRODSBURG CASTLE!
MOORELAND MANSION TO BE TURNED INTO HOMELESS SHELTER
3/18/2024
Using a 2 million dollar grant from The Clinton Foundation and others, former (and now future) Harrodsburg resident Andy Miner has purchased the "Harrodsburg Castle" with the intention of turning it into one of the largest homeless shelters in Central Kentucky.
After a disastrous attempt to rebuild the mansion, which gained a small following on YouTube, the current owners decided to throw in the towel. Fortunately for the less fortunate, Andy was there to pick it up.
After quickly being approved for a 2 million dollar grant from The Clinton Foundation, The American Civil Liberties Union, and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Miner presented a check for an undisclosed amount and was immediately handed the keys. Construction and renovations are expected to begin on April 1st.
The facility is expected to house 300 homeless individuals and families with preference to be given to homeless veterans. The facility will feature a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, a free of charge medical clinic to offer testing and treatment for STDs, "family planning" services, resources for undocumented immigrants, and a racquetball court!
Miner will live in the refurbished servants quarters located behind the mansion. The farmland surrounding the mansion will be put to use with the residents growing their own crops and raising livestock such as chickens, pigs, and goats.
