This summer I attended my 500th birth! I also hosted my first of hopefully many client reunion picnics. A huge thank you to those of you who were so kind as to come and support me and Genesis Midwifery! It was such a delight to see your faces, and I felt so loved and blessed by you all.

I intentionally chose a slower year for 2025, tightening up my service area radius just a bit and limiting the number of clients per month. It was still full and wonderful, and I'm so grateful to each client who chose to trust me to care for their family. You are all my favorites. ❤️

This week I was privileged to attend my 500th birth! ❤️ I went to my first birth 18 years ago this month. 🤯 I am amazed and grateful for the opportunity to serve so many families!

Happy International Day of the Midwife! What a joy and honor it is to serve my community in this way. We're so grateful to all the precious families who trust us during this special time.

I don't know to whom the following words should be attributed, but they are perfect.

"You are a midwife, assisting at someone else's birth. Do good without show or fuss.

Facilitate what is happening rather than what you think ought to be happening.

If you must take the lead, lead so that the mother is helped, yet still free and in charge.

When the baby is born, the mother will rightly say, "We did it ourselves!"

Happy New Year from Genesis Midwifery!

We ended 2024 with 4 babies born in the last 5 days of the year, for my personal busiest year ever!

It's been a beautiful year serving so many lovely families, and I'm so grateful for the dear clients who've entrusted us with their care during this sacred time of their lives.

A baby is the sweetest thing ever, and two babies are just exponentially more adorable than one. 🥰

So grateful Violet, Brea , and I got to spend the last 2 days learning from the esteemed Kristine Lauria . Her wealth of knowledge and experience in breech and twin birth is vast.
Shout out to Jen for hosting the workshop, and for her support and collaboration this last year as we have worked together to be able to offer breech birth to 3 clients!
