Meet Amanda, who kickstarts our Thursdays with her signature warmth in Align and Flow, before guiding Renew with a session blending gentleness into restorative poses. You can catch Mandy J. Yoga at 9:30 and 11 am today, or for those working then, please earmark her Tuesday nights at 6 PM starting in March, with Full Moon Restorative, followed by a four week beginners series.
Amanda Valdez, 200RYT has over a decade of personal practice and eight years of teaching experience. She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at PeaceLab Yoga in Grandville, Michigan, under the guidance of Melanie McQuown in 2017. Amanda has since pursued additional certifications, including Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Gioconda Parker (2020) and Rest & Renew® Level 1 Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Judith Hanson Lasater (2024).
Amanda’s teaching style blends alignment-based Hatha, vinyasa, & peak pose sequencing all with a restorative finish. Each class is designed to foster mindfulness, balance, and self-care—encouraging students to build strength, move with intention, and find stillness when needed. Amanda believes yoga offers a path toward greater balance, awareness, and resilience—supporting physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Off the mat, she enjoys live music, travel adventures, time outdoors near the beach or in the woods, and comfy days at home in Pentwater with her husband and their beloved kitty cats.
Meet Amanda and you’ll be glad you did. Her classes are a wonderful way to stay consistent and connected to both your personal practice, as well as our yoga community.
