Big congratulations to our guy, one of the first Golden Gloves Champions in Four Ropes Boxing Gym history 🥊🏆

From day one, he’s put in the work. As a heavyweight, he brought power and determination into the ring — earning a Golden Gloves title that helped put our gym on the map. But what makes me even prouder is who he’s become outside the ropes.

He just graduated from the academy and is now officially a Correctional Officer 👮‍♂️
Discipline. Commitment. Growth.

This is exactly what Four Ropes is about — building strong fighters and even stronger men.

Watching his journey has been incredible, and this is only the beginning. The future is bright for this champ.

✨ Meet Jasmine

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the Four Ropes team — Jasmine, our front desk secretary and a familiar, welcoming presence in the gym.

Jasmine has been around the world of boxing for quite som time and brings a genuine appreciation for the sport. She especially enjoys supporting and encouraging women and girls who are new to boxing, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and empowered from day one.

Outside of the gym, Jasmine is currently enrolled in college and is deeply creative at heart. She enjoys graphic and art design, reading, and writing and she is also a published author.
Her book, The Shape of Returning⭕️ is available on Amazon.

Fun fact: Boxing runs in the family! Jasmine’s oldest brother, is one of our coaches that teaches morning classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:00 AM.

The boxing community has lost a true pillar.

We mourn the passing of Brian Clark, CT Hall of Famer and longtime owner of Ring One Boxing, who served the New Haven community for over 30 years. Coach Clark trained countless champions in both the amateur and professional ranks and left a lasting impact on everyone who stepped into his gym.

Just 20 days ago, he welcomed our fighters into Ring One with open arms, giving them invaluable work and preparation for their upcoming bouts. That generosity and love for the sport will not be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Ring One Boxing family. Rest easy, Coach. 🥊

This weekend was his debut fight, and he stepped in against a kid with 10+ fights of experience. It ended with a split-decision loss that could’ve gone either way.

We are super proud of him. He proved he belongs in that ring, and this is just the beginning. First of many fights, can’t wait to see what the future holds. 💪
