and the sun peeks out from
behind the clouds
and casts a glimmer of hope
on my pages as i write

an answer to questions I do not dare ask

Instead of holding on
cherish each moment with full presence and energy
then release it with love to the ethers
knowing what's coming is always going
coming and going

going

This sweet nature mandala was made during my 28 cacao immersion in honor of the columbian cacao from the Arhuaco (Ike) tribe. I love making these offerings to the earth and cacao, such a sweet reminder of impermanace.

Since I first started learning about Shamanism, I have always been called to the winged ones, hawk being one of the first I deeply connected with. The hawk is known as a messenger, bringing messages from beyond the veil from our ancestors and guides. We must attune ourselves to receiving these messages and interpreting them.

perhaps death is gentle as well as beautiful
perhaps sometimes it is not full of pain
but as easy an an autumn leaf falling to the ground
for why else would God paint such splendor in the trees each year
only to fall to the cold ground
sometimes fast and furious
sometimes slow and without rush
as if the leaf had not a care in the world ...

Fall is quickly approaching, sweet friends.
And my kava apprenticeship has been inviting in so much contemplation around death and what it means to truly be ALIVE and fully present in this experience.

Its also perfect time for reflection on all that has unfolded this year ...

What part of you is asking to be released?
What part of you are you shamelessly celebrating and embracing?
what abundance and prosperity are you harvesting?
What do you need to do to feel complete in your experience in this life?

these are just some of the questions i've been contemplating and offer them to you as well.
