July is Minority Mental Health Month.

This year it comes at a time when federal policy is doing the opposite of protecting our wellbeing. On July 4, 2025 Donald Trump signed the ā€œone, big beautiful billā€ into law. There’s nothing ā€œbeautifulā€ about this bill unless you’re a major corporation or a billionaire. The rest of us WILL suffer.

From Medicaid and SNAP cuts to an increased budget for ICE, all of these things not only directly harm communities of color, but also worsen the mental health crisis that already exists.

We don’t just need awareness. We need action.
Mental health is political.

We can’t afford for anyone to think ā€œI don’t do politicsā€. Politics is doing YOU.

Get involved.
Call your reps and organize with your community.

Today, we honor the dads, father figures, and all the men who show up with love, protection, and presence.

Fatherhood isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being there. It’s in the early morning diaper changes, the after-school pep talks, the quiet sacrifices, and the loud cheers from the sidelines.

To the regular guys who wear the cape anyway: Happy Father’s Day. We see you. We appreciate you. šŸ’š

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Day.
A reminder that behind the baby bump or the cute newborn photos, many parents are struggling in silence.

🧠 1 in 5 women worldwide experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD).
šŸ“‰ 75% of those impacted don’t receive the care they need.

That’s not okay.
We need better screening, more support, and less shame.

Whether you’re navigating this journey yourself or supporting someone who is, know that help is out there. You are not alone, and you deserve care that sees you too.

šŸ“Œ Save this post. Share it. Start a conversation.

Let’s keep pushing for maternal mental health to be a priority, not an afterthought.
