Most professions can do bare minimum the week before holiday break. Then there are therapist, we have built such a safe rapport with clients we look forward to meeting with them. However, we may do less soul searching and more solution focused therapy. 😂🫶🏽

I can relate to my clients on this one thing. How unnatural “I feel” statements truly feel. The point of my work is not to give you this rigid, one way, unnatural communication technique.
The point is to find what works for you and your family and get to a point where you can say confidently “you know the truth”.
In a perfect AI world we may always feel validated and feelings wouldn’t be messy. However, I’m a therapist that can say bring the messy feelings. That’s what I want, thats truth.

I teach this one to every client because it serves so many purposes.
Many people scream “self-care, self-care, self-care” but they forget to actually check in with themselves at these times. This is a good way to check in with your thoughts and emotions.
