On May 14th, we proudly celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the IMPACT Leadership Track — Integrating Medicine, Purpose, and Action through Collaborative Thinking.

Over the past nine months, 11 exceptional trainees from 7 specialties completed a rigorous, purpose-driven curriculum supported by UConn GME. Each participant also led impactful scholarly activities that advanced leadership and collaboration in medicine.

Congratulations to our inaugural IMPACT graduates — your work is already shaping the future of healthcare leadership! 👏

Our Department of Anesthesiology shined with 4 outstanding research & QI presentations — including First and Second Place Awards among 99 posters. Congratulations to our residents Dr. James Tautkus for winning First Place Award for Best Research and Dr. Kyle Yano for winning Second Place Award for Best Case Presentation.

Special recognition to our dedicated medical students Ryan Brennan & Georgi Savov for their excellent contributions in advancing preoperative care, patient safety, and sustainability.

Grateful to our faculty mentors for fostering a strong research culture and guiding the next generation of anesthesiologists.

Yesterday, we celebrated Anesthesia Tech Day, marking the start of Anesthesia Tech Week—a time dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the invaluable contributions of our Anesthesia Techs.

In honor of this occasion, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Anesthesia Techs. The work they do each day to ensure that all our anesthesia procedures run smoothly and safely is truly immeasurable. They are an essential part of our team, and their dedication does not go unnoticed.
