The IAA Fairfield Division came together on Friday, March 20th, at Elicit Brewery in Fairfield, for a well-deserved happy hour to celebrate Match Day and the incredible journey ahead for our newest residents. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate the next generation of anesthesiology professionals and to the contributions they will make to our field and our patients. On the evening of March 11th, Dr. Honghui Feng had the opportunity to give a lecture to the physical therapists and staff at Metro Physical Therapy in Groton, CT.

Dr. Feng shared insights about the services offered through our Old Saybrook Pain Center and discussed ways our teams can continue working together to support patients dealing with pain and mobility challenges.

It was a great opportunity to connect with neighboring healthcare professionals, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration in our communities.

News 12 CT announces Advanced pain-management program with IAA

The Connecticut Orthopedic Institute at St. Vincent’s Medical Center working with IAA doctors has launched an advanced pain-management program using next-generation nerve-treatment technology that provides long-lasting, opioid-free pain relief. Doctors are using cryotherapy — a treatment that applies cold temperatures to temporarily disrupt pain signals from nerves in and around the knee joint. The effects are completely temporary, and when the nerve regenerates, full sensation returns. Currently, the treatment is being offered to patients undergoing total knee replacement surgery. “The first patient we had came in with chronic pain for ten years, using a cane — and walked out without it,” said IAA’s Dr. Theresa Bowling of St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
