Excuse the long post....On behalf of Hometown Urgent Care, I would like to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTmas!! We are open today normal hours but will be closed from the 24th to the 28th. I am going to spend some much needed time with family and slow my brain down a little bit. My husband just had shoulder surgery and there has just been a lot going on. We love our patients at Hometown and will be back in full force on the 29th. If you need anything while I am off and I can handle it over the phone or with a facetime, call me. 843-437-5456. Everyone have a very Merry CHRISTmas and remember why we celebrate. Its not the gifts under the tree that make the magic of the season. It is the birth of our Savior and that is what makes the magic!!! Love and Merry Christmas!!

Help your SC nurse practitioners keep our rightful place in healthcare!!

Long post but necessary!! To all of my hometown Urgent Care patients. My office will be closed on Wednesday September 10th because I have to go to Columbia to a Senate hearing to support nurse practitioners and what we stand for. There is a local MD in Hartsville that is going to the meeting to speak against us and is teaming with Senator Verdin in Greenville to make NP’s follow a team approach, and have to call a doctor about every patient we see. Please go read the bill and email a letter to Senator Tom Davis through SCStatehouse.gov and cc it to Wanda Crotwell- crotwell@thesoutherngroup.com Please read the bill which is Senate bill 669 and let them know what you think. This bill is crazy and will destroy patient's access to healthcare! Please help us be a voice and email before the end of the day on Tuesday. Thanks so much and I appreciate anything you guys can help us with!!

Hometown’s Story

I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember, I think kindergarten. I have dedicated my whole professional career to taking care of people. My spouse’s job has kept me away from my home town until now. I want to be here for the community to take care of the people, not just be “a part” of the healthcare system that seems to be so messed up. We offer extended hours every day and if you need me after hours, you get me, not an answering service. Call if you need anything.
