Child and Family Resource Foundation gathers in one place a wide range of necessary fundamental services that address the mental health, education, and overall wellness of children and families. Our services help develop positive outcomes in children and their family’s using awareness of speci
al needs and disabilities, counseling services for children, parent education, and school preventive measures, in addition to addressing grief and loss, along with trauma that exist within families. More About Our Cause
Trauma, grief, and loss affect children and families in vast ways. For example, a child who is struggling with grief and loss related to death of parent, caregiver, or sibling impacts their academics, socialization, and overall wellbeing. With 1 in 14 children in our country experiencing death of a loved one before the age of 18, many are sitting in classrooms grieving in silence. Child and Family Resource Foundation has a yearly day camp, All Seasons Healing Heart Camp. Our special camp is a haven where children and their families gather at a near-by farm each Spring. The families are given the opportunity to engage in therapeutic activities throughout the day. Some of the activities are horse-back riding, art, music, archery, gardening, a meal together, and a closing ceremony where butterflies are released. After participating in this special day of healing, families are invited to continue their journey at our center where there are support groups, academic tutoring, after school and summer enrichment that includes the arts, music, and social emotional support. Together, we can support more children and families because of you! Child and Family Resource Foundation works together with its' sister company Child and Family Resource Center.
