Recently, we had a special visit from the king of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis! The ladies here love when Elvis comes to sing and everyone wanted their picture taken with him. We already can’t wait to have him back! 🎙🎵

We were recently surprised with a thoughtful gift from one of our short-term residents, Lester. He treated our team to pizza and included a heartfelt note of thanks. Thank you, Lester. It was truly a pleasure to care for you! 🍕

Meet our July Employee of the Month… Amber!

Amber Miller is our receptionist and also helps out in activities. During her 2 years as a part of our team, Amber has enjoyed building relationships with the residents and watching them succeed. Her motivation to come to work every day is being able to be a part of a great team and work environment. When asked what advice she would give to new employees joining the team, Amber stated, “Smile. You never know if someone’s having a rough day. Your smile could change someone’s day.

Amber has a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. A fun fact about Amber is that her favorite food is Mexican!

We are so thankful to have Amber as a part of our team, and we can’t wait to see what her future has in store for her. Congratulations, Amber! 💙

A few weeks ago, our staff celebrated Christmas in July. We enjoyed a Christmas with fruit punch and milk to wash it down. Only a few short months until Christmas!

Meet our June Employee of the Month… Sandy!

Sandy Dorsey is a CNA and has been a part of our Altercare team since June of 2023. She started out as a part of our dietary team and then took our provided CNA classes to further her career in healthcare. Sandy always shows up for her shifts and is a reliable team member. A resident stated, “Sandy is always on time. She is very caring and helps out in other areas as needed.”

We are so thankful to have Sandy as a part of our team, and we can’t wait to see what her future has in store! 💙

We hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July weekend! We celebrated the day with a picnic, complete with hamburgers and all the fixins. We also enjoyed playing corn hole, bucket tic-tac-toe, and we cooled off with sq**rt guns! It was the perfect Independence Day celebration!

Here at Altercare Hartville we have some ladies that are part of the Red Hat Society. Recently, these ladies gathered to enjoy some snacks and play Mexican Dominos.

Last week we celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week! We had an Around the World theme, where residents could “cruise” through different travel destination with Captain Murphy. Throughout the week, residents enjoyed great food and photo opportunities through Key West, Iceland, Mexico, Italy, and Hawaii. It was such a fun week celebrating our residents and staff.

For Mother’s Day recently, we had a “Pie with Mom” event. Our residents got to visit with their loved ones and enjoy a slice of pie from Hartville Kitchen. It was a great day to show the moms of our facility how loved they are.
