As winter weather seems to be racing towards us, here's how to stay updated on potential class cancellations or rescheduling.

I will be sending notices on the app in the event of class cancellations, so if you haven't downloaded it yet, this is the perfect time! Comment or DM for the link & code if you need it!

I will also be posting on our facebook and instagram stories in the event of bad weather affecting classes, so keep an eye on our socials!

Finally, be sure to double check our live schedule on wintry mornings (as well as your email if you've already booked classes for the day! - don't forget your spam box!) and you'll see in live-time whether a class is available to book or not. If there is no class listed at a certain class time, it has been cancelled. I'll set this post to repeat weekly just in case!

If all else fails, don't hesitate to text us to ask!

While on our mat, we practice control, awareness and choice. But remember, most of yoga is actually what we practice OFF of our mat. Our voice becomes a different kind of movement; how we speak matters just as much as what we are saying.

Using our voice with care and intention is an important part of our practice, and one we must return to over and over again. More often than not, that practice requires more than silence. Choosing not to speak can be just as impactful as choosing unkind words. Looking away, staying quiet, and avoiding discomfort can allow harm to continue just as much as much as active participation.
To live our values, we must know when to pause and when to speak. It means listening to others, and being willing to name what isn’t right. It’s both calling out where harm exists and standing with the voiceless.

This is not about being right, about being loud, or being perfect. It’s about being present, honest and willing to engage so that we can enact real change.

Change doesn’t just happen in grand gestures. In fact, change first and foremost begins in our small, every day practices. It happens in how we listen, respond, and choose to show up again and again.
On the mat, this might look like pulling back in effort and choosing steadiness instead. Returning to the breath when things get difficult.

Off the mat, it’s the same. It’s the small, consistent choices that shape our relationships, our communities, and the kind of world we are participating in.
What we practice regularly becomes what we live.

On the mat, we are always adjusting. We adjust our stance, engage specific muscles, and control our breath and effort.
Off the mat, growth looks the exact same way.

Sure, most of us may move through life with good intentions, and while that matters… that’s only the starting point.
Look beyond what we MEAN to do and stay open to how our actions are actually landing. Awareness of impact is an important part of instigating change. (Both internal AND external)
Taking responsibility for our impact isn’t about shame or unkind self-criticism. It’s about being aware, humble, and willing to learn.
If we can reflect, adjust, and do better, we can stay connected to our own selves as well as others.

The reality of life is that none of us move through the world in true isolation. Whether we notice it or not, we are always influencing one another through our actions, our words, the space we take up, and what we stand for.
On the mat, this might look like extending kindness to someone you know is struggling, and being aware of our own pacing and breath.
Off the mat, this is listening carefully, and remembering that our choices ripple outward. The way we use our power, our voice, and our energy inspires others how they should behave both to themselves and others.
Connection isn’t abstract, and it’s not theoretical. It’s something we practice every day in the smallest ordinary or mundane moments.
How are you affecting the world?
