Congratulations to Amanda on receiving a Shield of Excellence Award!

While serving as the hospital inpatient charge nurse, Amanda received a call transferred from the operator. A patient had arrived for a clinic appointment and needed assistance getting from her car into the building.

Amanda promptly gathered the patient’s information and vehicle description, reassuring her that help was on the way. Without hesitation, she informed her team that she would be briefly stepping off the unit, grabbed her coat to brave the frigid weather, and went to the handicap parking area to meet the patient. She then personally escorted the patient to her appointment on the third floor of the clinic.

Amanda’s commitment to patient satisfaction and service is truly outstanding. She consistently goes above and beyond, not only for the peers and patients on her unit, but for partners and patients throughout the entire building each day.

Thank you for all that you do, Amanda! 💙
