Lead in protein powders?! You’ve probably seen the headlines — but here’s the truth behind them.
Consumer Reports tested 23 protein powders and shakes and found that 2/3 contained trace amounts of lead. Sounds alarming, right? But most of these levels are far below what health agencies consider harmful and often stem from natural minerals found in soil.
