Thank you to our awesome volunteers and special guests from the Power Home Remodeling Team who graciously came out and rolled up their sleeves to serve today! Our original plan to work on pasture burr removal changed due to the recent rainfall at our farms, but the group shifted and accomplished a lot with cleaning, organizing, and caring for our hardworking farm. Thank you all for being flexible and able to adjust on the fly! We hope you know that you all make a difference and your time is much appreciated! ❤️

A big thank you to Jake, U.S. Air Force, who just completed his summer internship with us as part of his Capstone with Arizona State University. BraveHearts houses an internal national database that we started 6 years ago to aid Veterans nationwide who regularly reach out to our farms for assistance with finding programming getting connected to a local PATH Intl. Center. Every summer, we do an annual complete overhaul update to this database to ensure we have the most current information from centers listed, their programs and details offered and to add any new centers. We like this to be all ready to go each year before we start our Trail to Zero rides with massive outreach exposure. Jake compiled a questionnaire to send to all our center contacts, inputted all changes from hundreds of center responses, and reviewed all details for 340+ centers. This is an enormous project, and we appreciate Jake’s attention to each detail as we’ve utilized this database to refer over 50 Veterans to centers already this year 2025. Congratulations on the completion of your internship Jake and we miss you already!

A big time introduction to BraveHearts newest member of the herd, Biggs! This gentle draft cross has already made a big impact in his first 48 hours at our farms. Biggs traveled 17 hours from Wyoming to BraveHearts’ Poplar Grove farm Friday, then to BraveHearts’ Harvard farm early the next morning for a board retreat drill team session and trail ride all day, then headed out to BraveHearts at Perks Ranch on Sunday morning for a small group outing before heading out in the afternoon to Chicago for the National Veterans Rodeo and Resource Fair. Arriving back to the farms with 11 other BraveHearts horses late Sunday night, Biggs enjoyed a little spa time in the wash rack before settling in for the night with his new herd. We know Biggs will continue to do big things at our farms and we are so blessed to be able to announce this very special addition to you all. ❤️

A little video from this past Saturday at our farm. Annually, our BraveHearts’ Board of Directors comes together on-site to take stock of our services by not only being present, but getting in the saddle alongside members of our community. Special thanks to members of our Co-Ed & Women Veteran Drill Teams for including many of our board members into a practice and afternoon trail ride. It was a beautiful day to highlight our tremendous herd and the works of our farms. Thanks to all who took part in our day, both in and out of the board rooms, to make it a special one! ❤️

Purple Heart Day is observed annually on the 7th of August to honor and remember members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed in action. The Purple Heart is the oldest military decoration is use, established first by General George Washington in 1782 as the Badge of Military Merit.

We extend our gratitude to the sacrifices made to Veterans pictured, Tim, Joshua, & all other Purple Heart recipients and are honored to be able to provide them with healing horsemanship at our farms. 💜
