Attention PATH Intl. Professionals SERVING Veterans! Have you been seeking the opportunity to ‘power up’ your Veterans programming? The time is now! For years, BraveHearts has been asked to duplicate our model and provide seasoned advice on building a successful Veterans’ program to centers across the country. If you are ready to build upon your Veterans’ program and looking to serve more Veterans at a higher level, then we encourage you to APPLY TODAY for our Power Up Changemakers 2-day event!

For this year's Changemaker program, we will be hosting an on-site event on Monday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 11th at BraveHearts' farms in northern Illinois. This on-site clinic will focus on hands-on teaching, staff coaching, and advancement of Veterans and setting up therapy horse for success, while also diving into some classroom activities focusing on programming and administrative guidance. Approximately 10 PATH Intl. centers, who serve or are wanting to serve Veterans, will be selected to bring 1-2 staff to participate in this onsite clinic. A continuing education hands-on experience, representatives travel, food, training design and implementation, coordination of event, housing, and materials will be covered entirely for selected guests.

Applications are due by September 30th. Centers selected to participate will be notified by October 22nd. For any immediate questions, please contact amber@braveheartsriding.org

Shout out to Jose! Keeping our farms operational 24/7, 365 is often an all hands on deck endeavor. We are so grateful to be able to call upon Jose for various facility repairs and routine maintenance. His vast skillset really aids in keeping our farms operating to the fullest, safest, and most efficient for the last nearly 12 years.

With all the hours Jose has spent at BraveHearts, he shared how he’d really like a chance to ride. Thanks to Oatie, we were able to extend our gratitude to Jose for all his hard work by granting him his wish to ride! 💚

Thank you to our awesome volunteers and special guests from the Power Home Remodeling Team who graciously came out and rolled up their sleeves to serve today! Our original plan to work on pasture burr removal changed due to the recent rainfall at our farms, but the group shifted and accomplished a lot with cleaning, organizing, and caring for our hardworking farm. A big thank you to Jake, U.S. Air Force, who just completed his summer internship with us as part of his Capstone with Arizona State University. BraveHearts houses an internal national database that we started 6 years ago to aid Veterans nationwide who regularly reach out to our farms for assistance with finding programming getting connected to a local PATH Intl. Center. Every summer, we do an annual complete overhaul update to this database to ensure we have the most current information from centers listed, their programs and details offered and to add any new centers. We like this to be all ready to go each year before we start our Trail to Zero rides with massive outreach exposure. Jake compiled a questionnaire to send to all our center contacts, inputted all changes from hundreds of center responses, and reviewed all details for 340+ centers. This is an enormous project, and we appreciate Jake’s attention to each detail as we’ve utilized this database to refer over 50 Veterans to centers already this year 2025. Congratulations on the completion of your internship Jake and we miss you already!
