April is Autism Acceptance Month 💙

At Tots and Teens Pediatric Clinic, we celebrate the unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences of every child. Autism Acceptance Month is a time to promote understanding, inclusion, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Early awareness plays an important role in helping children thrive. That’s why we provide routine developmental screenings for every child at 18 and 24 months, allowing us to identify any concerns early and connect families with the right resources and support.

Every child develops in their own way and at their own pace—and we’re here to walk alongside you every step of the journey. If you ever have questions or concerns about your child’s development, our team is always here to listen and help.

🌼 Is It Seasonal Allergies or a Cold? 🤧
From your care team at Tots and Teens Pediatric Clinic

With the seasons changing, we’re seeing lots of sniffles—but how do you know if it’s allergies or just a common cold? Here’s a quick guide to help:

🌿 Seasonal Allergies
• Clear, runny nose
• Sneezing fits
• Itchy eyes, nose, or throat
• Watery/red eyes
• NO fever
• Symptoms can last for weeks

🤒 Common Cold
• Runny or stuffy nose (often thicker mucus)
• Mild cough
• Possible low-grade fever
• Body aches or fatigue
• Symptoms usually improve within 7–10 days

👀 Quick Tip:
If your child is still sneezing and sniffling after a week without a fever, allergies may be the cause.
