Big congratulations to Courtney H. and Brianna W. from St. Aloisius Long Term Care on earning their RAC-CT® (Resident Assessment Coordinator—Certified) certification! 👏

This isn’t an easy certification to get. It takes hours of training, studying, and a strong understanding of how resident care is assessed, documented, and planned in long-term care.

The RAC-CT is considered the gold standard in the nursing home world. It means they are highly skilled in completing the MDS (Minimum Data Set), understanding regulations, and helping ensure each resident receives the right care—while also supporting how facilities are reimbursed for that care.

In simple terms—this certification helps make sure our residents are accurately assessed, properly cared for, and that everything is done the right way.

Courtney and Breanna, your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. We’re proud to have you on our team at St. Aloisius and grateful for the expertise you bring every day! 💙

Some changes in life can feel heavier than others—and no one should have to carry that alone.

St. Aloisius's Senior Life Solutions offers a safe, supportive space for older adults to connect, share, and find encouragement through group support. It’s not just about talking—it’s about feeling heard, building routine, and rediscovering purpose in everyday life.

If you’ve noticed a loved one becoming more withdrawn, struggling with mood, or just not quite themselves, this may be a step worth exploring.

Leg pain that won’t quit? It might be more than just a long day. 🦵

Varicose veins aren’t just about appearance—they can come with real discomfort and health concerns.

Watch for signs like:
• Aching or heavy legs
• Swelling
• Restlessness
• Cramping
• Itching
• Skin changes or damage
• Open sores (ulcers)

The good news—treatment has come a long way. ✨
Painful vein stripping is no longer the norm. Today’s minimally invasive procedures can help relieve symptoms and get you back to daily life quickly—and with proper diagnosis, most insurance plans will cover treatment.

At St. Aloisius, Dr. Michael Page provides advanced care for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), helping patients find real relief close to home. ❤️

Don’t ignore the signs—relief is closer than you think.

What’s this vest all about? 👀

This is a High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) vest, now available right here at St. Aloisius.

In this photo, one of our ward clerks is giving it a try—getting a feel for how it works as we prepare for upcoming staff training.

This device gently vibrates the chest to help loosen and move mucus from the lungs—making it easier to breathe and clear airways.

Here’s what it can do:🫁
• Helps loosen mucus from the lungs and airway walls
• Moves mucus from smaller airways to larger ones so it can be cleared by coughing or suctioning
• Supports patients with conditions like COPD, cystic fibrosis, or bronchiectasis
• May reduce the risk of lung infections
• Can improve breathing and overall comfort
• Adjustable sizing, making it usable for children through older adults
• Non-invasive and easy to use

More tools, more support, and more ways to care for our patients—right here at home. 💙

The Inspiritus Community Health Foundation offers a Twice Blessed Program, which matches community donations for projects that support the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of our communities.

✨That means every dollar given can have an even bigger impact right here at home.✨

A special thank you to Inspiritus and our community members—because of your support, we were able to purchase this device. 🙌
