Dear Fellow Space Holders of love, light and great compassion.

May there be space for all emotions as we navigate the day, days and years to come. May we remember that we are an integral part of the creation of a higher level of consciousness, a long journey of complete healing. May we radiate this in our interactions with one another and all of those who we meet along the way. I am thankful for the practice of KY and all the lessons, blessings and tools I’ve gathered along the way bringing me to this particular point in time. May we all remember who we are in this moment, and have the courage to keep moving forward 🙏🏽 Sat Nam.

On whose ancestral homeland do you live? Take time to acknowledge and say thanks to them today, as you gather with your friends and family on Thanksgiving ✨✨✨

As for us... the land where Payomet Performing Arts Center is located are the ancestral homelands of the First People, the Wampanoag. The Wampanoag have lived with these lands and waters for over 12,000 years.

Local landmarks like Nauset Marsh and Pamet River take their names from the smaller bands of the Wampanoag who made their home here. For both early Native People and their descendants who still live here, the natural world is so much more than a source of food or a pretty landscape. There is a deep spiritual relationship with the landscape, one that provides a connection to the sacred.

On this Thanksgiving day, we pay homage and respect to those that first inhabited this land, the Wampanoag Tribe– and to their ancestors, past and present.
