I just worked on drinking skills with the Step Up Cup. The child immediately picked up the Step Up Cup and drank independently using the handles and the wide lip. Her mother was amazed at how well she did with The Step Up Cup!

Repetitive stories are a great tool for facilitating language. Children learn the lines and can then say them spontaneously while initiating language with their communicative partner. Some examples are Good Night Moon and We're going on a bear hunt.

A tip for Lunch: Make sandwiches on toasted bread, rice cakes or crackers. This promotes chewing and smaller bites. Soft bread requires less chewing and may facilitate stuffing.
