TRAINING TIPS:

hypertrophy (muscle growth) is induced two ways.

1) Emphasis of Eccentric Motion (the negative or extension of the muscle. This is also known as “time under tension” lowing the weight or extending the muscle in a slow and controlled manner.

2) Increasing Volume. Volume is defined as number of reps to failure or just before failure times the number of sets. This can be done again two different ways. Both of which are known as progressive overload. Keeping the number of reps and sets the same while gradually increasing the weight over time, or keeping the weight the same while gradually increasing the number of reps and sets over time.

As most of you may know, Fidelis Fitness Gym’s primary mission is to provide funding for My Next Mission’s Veterans Out Reach Program. We understand that while many of you greatly support this mission, many of you are not located close enough to join our facility. As such, We are looking at starting up a Distance Training Program, complete with weekly workout routines with instructional video and nutrition counseling. If you are interested in participating please feel free to DM us, and we can discuss further details.
