Dr. Kennedy will be out of the office on the dates listed below. Additionally, from March 25 -April 3, the office will be closed.

Due to difficulty connecting to reliable WiFi, her ability to answer messages in the portal will be limited. Dr. Kennedy will reply to messages when possible, but response times will be much slower than when she is in the office. Dr. Kennedy will try to check messages once daily during this time.

If your child will need a stimulant medication, please contact the pharmacy to check if there is a script on file first, then if there is not, please call the office prior to March 24th. It can be difficult for Dr. Kennedy to send stimulant medications while out of the state.

Any letters or forms will be completed within a week after Dr. Kennedy returns to the office.

If you or your child is having a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Thank you for your understanding!

To the patients and families of Mid-Mitten Pediatric Psychiatry,

Due to significant changes with insurance companies, I am no longer able to offer telehealth appointments for the following insurances:

U of M/Physician's Health Plan

Priority Health

Tricare

Unfortunately, insurance companies have made many changes with regards to telehealth appointments and have significantly decreased payments for telehealth appointments. This decrease in payment is not sustainable for a private practice like Mid-Mitten. I know this will cause problems for many families and I apologize for the inconvenience. These decisions by insurance companies are completely out of my control. In order to maintain a private practice moving forward, effective immediately all telehealth appointments for these insurances will be changed to in the office. If the appointment time will not work due to being in the office, please contact the office to reschedule. I am very sorry for the inconvenience and frustrated with the lack of understanding from insurance companies, but I thank you for your understanding.

With the start of June, the office is now transitioning to our summer hours, meaning the office will be closed on Fridays. Please note if you have an appointment on Monday and need to cancel this appointment you must contact the office on Wednesday prior to your appointment time to avoid the Late Cancellation fee. If you have an appointment on Tuesday and need to cancel this appointment you must contact the office on Thursday prior to your appointment time to avoid the Late Cancellation fee. Audrey will be available from 8:30 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Please contact the office with any questions and enjoy the summer!

New patient spots are opening up much more quickly with these extra times and we are accepting new patients to the waitlist!

Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm
Friday 8:00am-12:00 pm

Audrey will be available at the front desk Monday through Thursday from 8:30-4:00pm and Friday 8:30am-12:00pm.

We have received multiple reports of patients having trouble with the patient portal. I have contacted the company regarding this issue, but the only "solution" the company provided was for patients to reset the password. Clearly patients have been trying to do this and it has not worked. I will continue to work with the company to try to find a solution. However, in the meantime, if you are a current patient need to send Dr. Kennedy a message, you can do to the website below and click on the "Send Email" hyperlink in the blue box. These messages will be answered by Dr. Kennedy. I apologize for the inconvenience.
