The Therapy Institute is a therapist owned private PT practice that has served the physical therapy needs of the Greater Lansing are since 1989. We specialize in orthopedic, manual physical therapy. This approach emphasizes a hands-on approach to treatment and requires a physical therapy staff with many years of experience and a level of knowledge well beyond post graduate physical therapy educati

on. Our therapists work individually with each client at every session to create and implement a treatment plan that is unique, personalized and comprehensive. We have some more exciting news to share. Our office is moving to a new location at the end of the month! It's a short move - directly across the street (across Haslett Road) from our current location. We will be on the ground floor of the new American House facility. We are excited about this opportunity and hope it will allow us to better serve the Haslett and greater Lansing communities as a whole. We will be treating patients at our current location through April 26th, and will open up at the new location on April 30th. Keep an eye out in the next few days for some progress pictures, as they continue to finish up the build-out of the space!

We’d like to share some important updates from The Therapy Institute. As many of you already know, as of the beginning of 2023, we underwent an ownership transition. Nathan and Gabe took over ownership of the practice from Steve and Chris. Steve retired at the end of 2023, and we wish him well in retirement! Chris has stayed on board and continues to be an integral part of our team. Her commitment to providing top-notch care remains unwavering.

Nathan and Gabe have taken the reins with enthusiasm. With a shared commitment to excellence, they are dedicated to maintaining the high standards of care you've come to expect from The Therapy Institute.

Our mission remains unchanged: to provide quality care that promotes healing, wellness, and a better quality of life for the local community. Here's to many more years of serving you with compassion and expertise!

Had fun at our recent staff meeting. We just ordered a new piece of equipment called Blaze Pods. They can be used for all rehab abilities yet offer some very challenging exercises. Melissa presented on how to use these but very quickly it became a challenge as to who was better! Videos show Chris and Nathan in a “plank off” reaction time drill as well as some balance and agility drills. Can’t wait to try them out!
