Happy National Grilled Cheese Day! 🧀 Our Activities team spoiled staff today with grilled cheese and tomato soup… and yes, everyone went back for seconds 😋 We’ll be serving it up for our residents this afternoon too—because everyone deserves this kind of comfort food!

April Fools’ Day fun at Haida! 😄 Our team decided to surprise Ron, our Housekeeping Manager, by showing up dressed just like him. The reactions were priceless and the laughter was even better. It’s moments like these that make our team so special and bring us all closer together. We love a good laugh and the memories we create along the way!

We’re excited to welcome Brittany Bacher, BSN, RN, CNDLTC to the team at Haida Nursing & Rehab as our new Assistant Director of Nursing!

Brittany brings 14 years of healthcare experience, growing from Certified Nursing Assistant to Licensed Practical Nurse and ultimately Registered Nurse. Early in her career, she gained experience in psychiatry, family medicine, and acute care before finding her passion in long-term care and rehab.

Nursing has always been close to Brittany’s heart. Growing up with a mom who was a nurse, she often tagged along—learning and even helping care for family and friends, which inspired her to follow the same path.

Haida came highly recommended for its staff and welcoming atmosphere. After touring and spending time with our team and residents, she felt an immediate sense of excitement. As she shared, “There is always something to celebrate at Haida—and that’s my favorite part.”

Over the past four years, Brittany has served as a Director of Alzheimer’s and recently earned her Certified Nursing Director in Long Term Care certification through PADONA, preparing her for her new role as ADON.

She is excited to join such an incredible team and looks forward to making a positive impact on our residents’ care and daily lives.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys time with her husband and two children, making memories through biking, game nights, and exploring. She also loves gardening, houseplants, music, and creative projects.
