There’s something truly special about bringing generations together! This week, our residents at Thornapple Manor got to experience the magic of prom all over again — thanks to an incredible group of Maple Valley Choir students who hosted a “Senior Prom” just for them.

We’re so grateful to these thoughtful students for their kindness, creativity, and the time they spent making our residents feel celebrated and loved. And, a special thanks to everyone who donated dresses for our residents to wear as well! Moments like this are what community is all about.

Get to know Teresa Coenen, Director of Harvest Pointe! Teresa has been a valued member of the Thornapple Manor family for over 33 years, first joining the Social Work team and later becoming the Director of Social Services before transitioning into her current role. Teresa noted that she has especially enjoyed hearing the stories of both staff and residents throughout her career. Outside of work, Teresa loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, biking, and exploring the many beautiful lakeshores around Michigan.
