It’s important to be prepared when it comes to eye care.

Colder temps outside, drier and warmer air inside, and increased exposure to UV rays can wreak havoc on our eyes.

Here are 5 habits to help keep your eyes healthy and comfortable in cold weather.

Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water and use a humidifier in your home.
1. Use artificial tears or eyedrops as needed.
2. Wear protective eyewear (goggles or sunglasses) to protect against the increase of UV rays caused by sunlight reflecting on the snow.
3. Practice healthy habits when it comes to diet & exercise.
4. Read our list of eye-health foods such as salmon, dark leafy greens, avocados, carrots, and almonds
5. Wash your hands often and avoid touching or rubbing your eyes.
