Today is Rare Disease Day!

Rare diseases are characterised by a wide diversity of symptoms and signs that vary not only from disease to disease but also from patient to patient suffering from the same disease.

*over 300 million people worldwide live with a rare disease
*there are over 6000 different rare diseases
*72% of these are genetic
*70% begin in childhood

We need your help for Nebraska babies who need cranial helmets.

Some infants are prescribed cranial helmets to treat flat head syndrome (deformational plagiocephaly) or craniosynostosis—and too many families run into insurance coverage barriers. Our President and Founder, Rakesh Srivastava, MS, CPO/LPO, FAAOP worked with Senator Dan Lonowski to sponsor LB805, which would require coverage for medically prescribed cranial helmets for infants up to 1 year old. Rakesh will be testifying at Tuesday’s hearing—and patient support can make a big difference.
