* ONE day until graduation! *
The students have been counting down all week.
This week they also took time and recognized a few technologists at their clinical sites by choosing a few to give the "Apple award". The Apple award is given to a technologist that they feel goes above and beyond when teaching them in the clinical setting. They answer questions while remaining patient and offer their help when seeing a student struggle and are just overall welcoming and kind to the students.
The Hastings students chose Kyley Cosgriff. Kyley works for Mary Lanning Healthcare in CT and MRI but is always willing to help out in X-ray as needed. The students noticed her friendliness and willingness to jump in where needed! Thanks for being such a great example to our student Kyley!
The Kearney students chose Dave Griffith from our Kearney Regional Medical Center clinical site. Dave has been working with our students for 20+years, previously at Kearney Orthopedics. He is a great mentor and students have always loved soaking in his expertise.
Congrats Kyley & Dave and thank you for being part of the education process of our students, setting a good example, and having a positive impact on their clinical education

Less than 2 weeks to graduation and our senior spotlight this week is Kierra!
Hello, my name is Kierra Petersen. This is my little family, my boyfriend Talon, and my sons Tayven and Teagan. We currently live in Grand Island where I went to CCC for my general education, I then applied to the Mary Lanning Program where I will receive my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology in July and I am happy to announce that I will continue my employment with them post-graduation where I will cross-train in CT.
Being a mom and welcoming another little one into the world during my second year, going to school and working full time has been very challenging to say the least. I want to give a huge thank you to my boyfriend and my sons for always believing in me and pushing me to do better, my parents and siblings for always being my village to lean on, and to my instructors and all the Mary Lanning staff for their constant support. Life doesn’t stop for x-ray school and I am so thankful for the support system I had within this program. These past 2 years have been the most challenging yet rewarding years of my life and I can’t wait to see where my future as an x-ray tech goes!

My name is Emma Roberts and I am from Hay Springs, NE. I received my bachelor’s degree in biology from UNK before starting Mary Lanning’s radiology program. After graduation, I will be working full time at CHI Lakeside in Omaha where I will be trained in MRI. The past two years have been really challenging but have changed me for the better. Less than a month to graduation day and we have another Senior Spotlight!

Hello! My name is Ashley Uden and I am from Kenesaw, NE. Before starting Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology, I attended both the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Central Community College-Kearney to complete my general studies. In July, I will be graduating with an associates degree in Radiologic Technology. I will be staying in the Kearney area at Kearney Regional Medical Center working as an x-ray tech and plan to continue my education cross training in CT.

I am very thankful for the support from my family, friends, fiancé TJ, and the Mary Lanning teachers. Without their encouragement and pushes to keep going I wouldn’t be where I am today. With that being said I am very excited to graduate and continue my love for the profession!

Senior spotlight #2:
Hello~ I'm Tyler! I grew up in Hastings, NE and attended Adams Central High School, while also taking several courses through Central Community College. After graduating CCC with two Associate degrees, I knew, without a doubt, I wanted to become a Radiologic Technologist.
After graduation, I will be employed with Mary Lanning as a licensed Radiologic Technologist and plan to continue with my CT certification.

I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the last two years of my education, the people I've met and the memories I've made. The many areas of different clinical sites has given me the much needed experience and confidence to perform exams on my own.
As I look back at all the early morning drives to different sites, all the different experiences with different techs, and the countless hours of studying -- I couldn't be more fortunate for the opportunities I've been given. I am also thankful for our instructors who continued to believe in us and push us through to the end.
I look forward to be able to continue my love of this profession.

The countdown to graduation has started!
We have 10 weeks to go and our first senior spotlight is Delaney Cargill.
Hello, my name is Delaney Cargill! I grew up in Ord, NE as the oldest of three girls. I attended SCC in Lincoln, before being accepted into Mary Lanning’s radiology program. In July, I will be graduating from Mary Lanning with an associate’s degree. Following graduation, I will be working full time at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, NE.
I am beyond blessed that I was accepted into such an outstanding program. My teachers and classmates have been nothing short of amazing throughout the two years that we have been in school. I’ve endured some very challenging steps along the way, and there was never a time when I felt alone during my time in the program. I can’t say enough good things about the techs and clinical sites that continuously helped me learn and grow.
The two girls that are pictured with me are my sisters, Claire and Keeley. I want to give a special thank you to each of them and especially, my parents. Thank you for believing in me and not giving up on me when things get difficult. I love you all so much. Thank you to my amazing friends and my hometown community for all the love and support. I’m excited to watch my future unfold as an x-ray tech!
