Future physicians—this opportunity is for you 👀

Applications are now open for Conemaugh Health System’s Mentoring in Medicine – Class of 2026. This 10-week summer program includes physician shadowing, exposure to a variety of specialties, and guidance on medical school applications, interviews, and personal statements.

Eligible applicants include local pre-med students (rising juniors or seniors) or first-year medical students who meet academic requirements. Space is limited to 10 students. Apply by February 14, 2026.

The program, entering its 13th year, is designed to equip and prepare current and future leaders within the health system to prepare them for leadership roles. Participants partake in foundational leadership skills through mentoring, job shadowing, field experiences, and professional development opportunities throughout the calendar year.
