We hear people talk about self care but what does it mean to foster self compassion? Sometimes it is easier to support others. We wouldn’t hesitate to offer a friend or loved one kind words and a patient listening ear. But often, we are hard on ourselves. When we practice self compassion, we nurture self worth, we acknowledge that we deserve the love and kindness we offer others and we learn to ask for help when we need it most.
