Luther Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Luther Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Luther Woods is a skilled nursing facility, offering respite and rehabilitation services, nestled on nine acres.

Formerly known as Luther Woods Convalescent Center, our private, independently-owned skilled nursing center and rehabilitation facility was built in 1976. Founded to provide quality long-term care for the elderly, our philosophy has evolved over time as more people wish to age at home. By establishing ourselves as a premier rehabilitation center, we strive to help our short-term residents achieve a quicker recovery from acute-care medical issues and our long-term residents maintain good health and an excellent quality of life.

Introducing our Environmental Services Director.

This is Paulette Ramsey. She has worked for 8 years at Luther Woods in the Activity Department. Her specialty within our department is programming for our residents who have advanced dementia. Paulette is a very kind and caring person. She is very patient with her residents and has a lot of success running groups which encouraged socialization and functional tasks
We are very lucky to have her on staff here.

Our resident Linda wanted to make a point to recognize her Heartfelt Hero. Marlene has been Linda's CNA for many years. Marlene makes sure she looks good, gets to her groups, and most importantly, gets her milkshake at her meals. Way to go, Marlene.

According to Google, "Valentine’s Day, celebrated annually on February 14th, is deeply rooted in the tradition of giving sweets and chocolates to symbolize affection, romance, and care." A big shout-out goes to The Ukrainian Nationals Soccer Club U7 boys' team, who sent handmade Valentine cards and a bag of sweets to our residents to celebrate this special day. Thank you, you made their day special.

A Heartfelt Hero" is a person who performs acts of service, kindness, or courage driven by deep, sincere, and genuine emotion rather than a desire for fame or recognition. Unlike traditional heroes who may be defined solely by physical bravery, a heartfelt hero is characterized by profound compassion, empathy, and a strong moral commitment to helping others. Our residents decided to honor their staff at Luther Woods as their choice for people who are their heartfelt heroes.

Your team does not have to be in the Super Bowl to have a Super Bowl Party. While we were sad that our EAGLES were not playing, the Luther Woods Team showed a lot of teamwork in building a great buffet table for all the staff to enjoy.

“Here's to the best Activity Staff in the business. I may be a bit biased but I'm not the only one to say this. Day in and day out I watch how my residents respond and socialize with these ladies. These ladies, Patti, Paulette, and Jess make their world a better place. They make it fun, warm, comfortable, and homelike. They make my job easier too. They do anything that is asked of them no matter how crazy it seems. They keep me sane, teach me many things, and are the kindest, most compassionate group around. They often don't get the recognition they deserve but they keep on moving. Luther Woods is so very lucky to have this group on staff. One family member commented that she has worked in LTC for many many years and she has never seen a program like the one at Luther Woods. Ladies, Happy Belated Activity Professionals Week!!!! You rock and it is my pleasure to be in your company!!!!!! 😘😀💕” -Stephanie Parker, Activities Director

A big shout out goes to Mother Nature who made sure we had plenty of real snow to celebrate our winter luau. Between 7-10 inches fell on Hatboro, PA this weekend. We were able to use the real deal for our snowman building contest. Three teams made up of two residents each and one new orientee had fun building their creations. An automatic tie was called with each team member winning a chocolate snowman. Jason, our representative from Amedysis Hospice, brought in a snow cone machine and treated our residents to a special treat. No, we did use the snow to make them, then we ended our special day with our annual snowball fight where our residents got the chance to pelt the Activity Staff with yarn balls.
