Back in Israel (again).
I’m back in Israel, visiting my daughter who made Aliyah 3 years ago. I’ve also been volunteering to take care of soldiers on military bases. “Aren't you scared about going to Israel?” I was asked. “No! It’s not like I’m going to LA.”
It’s safe here, especially for Jews where London, Paris, Amsterdam and other cities are overrun with Jew-hating, America-hating Muslims. International surveys always rank Israelis as among the happiest people on earth? Why? In spite of the media (CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Washington Post etc.) this is a great place with close, large families, people with a shared culture and values, and a sense of destiny. There’s a strong sense of community - even strangers watch out for each other. Also, the food is great.

Sunlight
Jerusalem is hot during the day, but the nights are pleasant. I’ve been studying about the healing qualities of the morning sun and the dangers of blue light at night so most mornings I go out a little after dawn and enjoy the sun. Looking at the sun then resets your biological clock, is good for your pineal and pituitary and hormonal system. Look up sun gazing. I’ll be writing about sunlight in a future blog.
“Open Your Mouth and Plug Your Ears”
I’m in an artillery base north of Gaza seeing soldiers in a large, air-conditioned tent. There’s an announcement that a round is going to be fired. “Open your mouth and plug your ears to equalize the pressure” an officer told me. I do it. BOOM! I didn’t feel any pressure or shock wave.
There’s another announcement. “I’m going outside to watch,” says my driver/translator/procurer. I follow her. There’s a line of artillery; they look like tanks. “The one at the end is going to shoot,” she says. It's a couple of hundred yards away. BOOM! Thick white smoke billows out from the turret and surrounds the area. There’s a smell of Sulphur. This time I kept my mouth closed, no ear plugs, no big deal. This woman knows her weapons by the sound: “That’s an F-16”, “That’s a helicopter gunship,” etc.
Procurer?
My procurer? She goes around telling soldiers about what I do and soon there’s a line waiting for care. She’s a great asset. After watching me, many of the body workers, massage, craniosacral therapists, acupuncture, reflexologists, cupping etc. also ask for care. There is interest in a KST seminar here.
End of the War
When Hamas surrenders and frees the hostages the war will be over. They are hoping international pressure will force Israel to “negotiate” which means giving them time to b***y trap more homes. That mentality is keeping the war going. There is no substitute for absolute victory. I like Trump’s idea to ship them all to other countries. They are nearly all anti-Israel, anti-US pro-Hamas terrorists or terrorist supporters. What other people teach their children to “die as martyrs” killing as many infidels as possible? It's a death loving cult.
A Piece of the Covenant
I have an apartment on Abraham Lincoln Street, next to George Washington Street. No kidding. America and Trump are very popular here for many good reasons. It’s in the name: In Hebrew France is called France, Spain is called Spain, Italy is called Italy – etc., etc. But America is called “Land of the Covenant.” Both America and Israel are unique in the world: America is based on Judeo-Christian ideals. As John Adams said, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” (Address to the Massachusetts Militia October 11, 1798.).
The Founders of the US saw America as the new land of the covenant. It’s in the names of many cities. Newark for example, is short for New Ark of the Covenant. So many cities are named Zion. There’s Bethlehem Pennsylvania for example.
Most of the Founders of the US could read Hebrew as well as Latin and Greek. They knew their religious tradition and were a religious people. They knew world history: what worked and what led to destruction.
That is why it is so important for teachers to once again teach Civics and American History honestly. How many students have actually read the Constitution? Parents and grandparents need to fill in the gaps of our poor government school system.
Enough Lecturing
I’m off to another base this afternoon. The great thing about seeing soldiers in the evening is that there’s usually a bar-b-q later. If anyone would like to join me in volunteering in taking care of soldiers and eating great food please let me know. I’ll try to write more later.
