During National Handwashing Week, we recognize that some kids may avoid washing hands due to sensory sensitivities. 🧼✨
Here are a few ways we help children get comfortable with handwashing:
• Use warm water instead of cold
• Choose gentle, unscented soaps
• Incorporate fun songs or timers
• Practice gradual exposure with shorter washes
• Use visual schedules or social stories
