Mississippi INBRE Mississippi INBRE's mission is to enhance the biomedical research foundation in Mississippi.

Mississippi INBRE, directed by Dr. Alex Flynt, a professor at The University of Southern Mississippi, is a statewide program that is supported by an award from the National Institutes of General Medical Sciences. Their mission is to enhance the biomedical foundation in Mississippi and to reach out to Mississippians in order to improve health throughout the state. Mississippi INBRE seeks to engage talented researchers and students in biomedical research projects that will increase the state’s research competitiveness as well as impact the health of citizens of Mississippi. Mississippi INBRE will host a data science consulting booth at the 90th Annual Mississippi Academy of Sciences (MAS) Meeting in Biloxi on March 19–20, 2026. Faculty researchers at Mississippi's primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) are invited to schedule free 30-minute one-on-one consultations with Mississippi INBRE's Data Science Core experts.

Faculty from Mississippi primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) have priority access to reserve consultation slots through Friday, March 13. Any remaining appointments after this date will open to the general public.

Community-based, Non-Federal, Non-Academic organizations include:
✔ Faith-based organizations
✔ Healthcare systems
✔ School districts
✔ Social service agencies
✔ Local, Tribal, or state government entities
