✨ PRVO Head Start/Early Head Start at the NAMI Conference ✨

PRVO Head Start/Early Head Start staff proudly attended the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mississippi Annual Conference, “Together Toward Tomorrow,” held April 30–May 1, 2026 in Hattiesburg, MS.

This impactful two-day conference provided valuable opportunities to learn, connect, and grow through sessions focused on mental health awareness, crisis response, and strengthening community support systems.

Our team is committed to bringing this knowledge back to better support the children and families we serve, ensuring we continue to promote healthy development and overall well-being. 💙

🌱💚 John E. Hales Early Head Start – “Gardening with Dads” 💚🌱

On Thursday, April 23rd, our John E. Hales EHS families came together for a special male involvement activity—“Gardening with Dads” 🌼

Dads and children spent quality time side-by-side, creating, planting, and learning together. From hands-on activities to building colorful “flowers,” it was a beautiful way to celebrate National Gardening Day and the importance of growing strong family connections. 🌿

Moments like these make a lasting impact—not just in the classroom, but at home and in the community. Thank you to all the dads and families who participated!

What an amazing day of fun, learning, and connection at John E. Hales EHS on Thursday, April 23rd! 🌟

Families came together for a special Family Fun Day featuring the Mississippi LIFT Mobile Resource Bus, bringing valuable resources, activities, and smiles to our community.

The day was filled with:
🎯 Fun games and activities
🎁 Giveaways and helpful resources
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Quality time for families to learn and grow together

🌿☀️ Belmont Head Start Wellness Day ☀️🌿

Our Belmont Head Start staff enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors with a relaxing picnic at Bay Springs Lake! 💛

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and connection:
🧺 Picnic time by the water
🎯 Games and team activities
🎨 Painting rocks with positive messages—and hiding them around the park for others to find!

We even had a special visit from Naomi and her husband, who brought their sweet new baby to join in the fun 🍼💕

A big thank you to Vickie for sharing interesting facts about the lake—it made the day even more meaningful! 🌊🌳

Moments like these remind us how important it is to slow down, enjoy nature, and spend time together as a team ❤️

💚✨ Booneville Head Start Wellness Wednesday ✨💚

Wellness Wednesday at Booneville Head Start was a HUGE success—and so much fun! 🎉

Our staff took time to relax, recharge, and enjoy each other with a variety of activities throughout the day. Everyone went head to head in the game room to show their competitive sides. 🎮 They dropped by the Craft room to show their creativity. 🎨 Finally, in the Spa room, they were able to indulge in a bit of R&R! 💆‍♀️

Taking care of our staff helps us better care for our children—and days like this remind us just how important that is! 🌟
