USM Center for Behavioral Health Providing affordable, quality psychological services to the Hattiesburg community. We serve community members and USM-students, faculty, and staff.

The USM Center for Behavioral Health offers behavioral health services for children, adolescents and adults. Our services include individual, child, family, couples and group therapy, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations/ assessments, consultation in various areas, including school and Head Start consultation, parent training, and select pre-employment screenings/evaluations.

Here is just a glimpse of what the CBH was up to this semester:
Three clinicians presented a poster at the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies in Baltimore, Maryland, two of our center coordinators attended the Mississippi Psychological Association in Biloxi, Mississippi as well as two of our faculty presented on the CBH-SOAR Program, clinicians representing the CBH went to over 3 states, including California, Maryland and Louisiana, to present or attend conferences, and lastly, the CBH had so much fun tailgating and attending the USM Fall Wellness Festival.
We cannot wait to see what next semester brings!

Today, we want to tell you a little bit more about serious mental illness. Here is some information about our new CBH-SOAR Program where we are treating individuals who are at risk of developing a serious mental illness. This program is for 14-25-year-olds.
