🧸🐻 Growing the Teddy Bear Clinic Experience! 🐻🧸

For the past four months, Busy Bee Pediatrics has been bringing Teddy Bear Clinics to schools and daycare centers across Webster Parish and surrounding areas. This month, Minden Medical Clinic of Haughton Pediatrics has joined the initiative—helping us expand into Bossier Parish and beyond! 💜

These clinics are designed for children in Pre-K through 1st grade, giving them the opportunity to bring their favorite stuffed friend aboard the eMD mobile unit for a “check-up.” Through this experience, our teams create a calm, fun, and educational environment that helps reduce fear and prepare children for real clinic visits.

To ensure every child can participate, teddy bears are provided to students in need on the day of the clinic. On behalf of Busy Bee Pediatrics, MMCH Pediatrics, and our partners Minden Medical Center, eMD HealthTalk, Allegiance Home Health | Hospice & Palliative Care, we extend a heartfelt thank you to the Dorcas Sewing Ministry of First Baptist Church Minden for generously donating 50 teddy bears. Your kindness is helping us make a meaningful impact—one smile at a time. 🧸💜

🧸🐻 Teddy Bear Clinics Are Growing! 🐻🧸

Dr. Kirstin Mosley and the MMCH Pediatrics team are now bringing the Teddy Bear Clinic experience to the Haughton and surrounding communities! 💜

These clinics also hosted by our Busy Bee Pediatrics team, are a fun and interactive way to help children feel more comfortable with healthcare by letting their favorite stuffed pals become the patient.

Yesterday, the team visited Doyline Pre-K, and even with the rainy weather 🌧️, it didn’t stop the smiles! Students were excited to step aboard the eMD mobile unit and have their teddy bears “seen” by Dr. Mosley.

Moments like these help create positive, lasting impressions and reduce anxiety when it comes to real doctor visits.

Thank you to Doyline Pre-K for having us! We had a great time!

Dr. Kirstin Mosley and the team from Minden Medical Clinic of Haughton Pediatrics had the opportunity to participate in Haughton Library’s Adulting 101: Healthcare session this week for students from Haughton High School.

While the group was small, the conversations were meaningful and it was a great opportunity to help students learn the basics of navigating their healthcare as they move toward adulthood. From scheduling appointments and understanding medical history to knowing when and where to seek care.

We truly appreciate Haughton Library for the invitation and for creating opportunities like this to support our local students as they prepare for the next chapter of life.
