Senior/Disabled Person "I Live Alone" Program - A Caring Check-In Initiative by HPD
The main goal of this initiative is to ensure the safety and well-being of seniors and disabled adults who live alone in the City of Havelock.
Here’s what it does:
Provides regular contact – Participants receive two check-in calls per week from HPD Dispatch.
Initiates a wellness check – If the participant does not answer the calls, an officer is sent to check on them.
Offers peace of mind – Helps family members and loved ones feel reassured that someone is checking in.
Assists in emergencies – Participants provide emergency contacts and home access so that help can arrive quickly if needed.
