Health Benefits of Line Dancing.
Line dancing is a style of group dance in which individuals perform synchronized steps in rows or lines to choreographed movements, without physical contact with a partner, that has experienced an increase in popularity in recent years. A recent literature review found that line dancing provides a full-body workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and flexibility; boosts mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression; promotes social connection even without a partner; challenges the brain to improve memory and cognitive function; and encourages community engagement and a sense of belonging.
