This week has been eventful. Beginning, with changing the clocks, a full moon and Friday the 13th we have have been busy. We have enjoyed fitness classes, crafts, baking, games entertainment, lunch outings and a new favorite Drum Circle. Please enjoy some highlights of our week.

Our favorite day of each quarter is the day we celebrate our Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients. Today we had the privilege of honoring Stan and Eleanor Williams. Stan and Ellie were both born in Haverhill and were married in 1949. They will soon be celebrating their 77th wedding anniversary. They raised 4 children in Haverhill and immersed themselves in the Riverside Memorial Church where Stan was a Deacon. Eleanor and her sister-in-law went on to open the Cedar Chest consignment store in Merrimac. They were active volunteers in the community. You may recognize Stan as our resident carver. He is well known for his Santa work and canes for disabled veterans. We could not be more proud to call them Wingate residents! They are an inspiration to all who know and love them!

We had the honor of celebrating our beloved resident Jeanne’s 100th birthday this past weekend. She had a lovely party with family and friends followed by a party with residents. We want to thank Mayor Melinda Barrett for the citation and supporting our community.

Today we celebrate Katie Mund the Clinical Lead of Select Rehabilitation. She has been an integral member of our team and providing therapy services to our residents. Katie is relocating to be closer to family and will be missed greatly. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Our residents are starting off the New Year right. They are committed to exercising everyday. Every morning we start the day with a different exercise routine. It’s a great way to keep yourself active and energized. Thank you to all of the instructors for your hard work!
