We’re proud to share that, thanks to our incredible community, our Visiting Angels Greater Philadelphia team collected 3,075 pairs of shoes during our two-month shoe drive in August and September! 👟💙

This effort spanned all six of our offices and truly reflected what can happen when a community comes together to care for others. Just like our mission to provide personal care, companion care, dementia care, respite care, and 24-hour home care, this project was rooted in compassion, support, and service.

From all of us at Visiting Angels, thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of those in need across Greater Philadelphia. ❤️

🎉 Honoring 101 Years of Life, Wisdom & Service

Thomas Fitzpatrick, a proud veteran and Montgomery County resident, was recently celebrated at the 16th Annual Centenarian Celebration hosted by the Montgomery County Health and Human Services - MD.

Born in 1924 at Chestnut Hill Hospital, Thomas has lived a remarkable life filled with adventure, creativity, and purpose: from his time as a bombing mission pilot to his love of hunting, fishing, and oil painting.

When asked for his Pearls of Wisdom for a long, happy life, Thomas shared:
“The Greek father of medicine says, ‘First, do no wrong.’ Einstein said, ‘Americans don’t die — they kill themselves.’ So stay abreast with your knowledge and advancements in medicine.”

Visiting Angels is honored to care for and celebrate Mr. Fitzpatrick, whose life and words continue to inspire. 💙

What an incredible community effort! 👟💜

Over the past two months, our Visiting Angels Greater Philadelphia team joined forces across all six offices to host a Shoe Drive benefiting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s — and together, we collected an amazing 3,075 pairs of shoes! 👏

This fundraiser ran through August and September, and 100% of proceeds went directly to the Alzheimer's Association to support their vital mission of care, support, and research.

We’re so proud of our Visiting Angels team and grateful to our local communities who stepped up, donated, and helped make this drive such a huge success. 💜
