The way I work with journaling reflects non-linearity and imagination.
Sometimes I write in many different shapes that mirror how I feel.
Sometimes, I start with a list of words and let it morph into a phrase or a longer narrative.
Very often, I end up with the same words, but in a deeper context and meaning.

Most of the time, I feel relief and understanding at the end of my session - even if I just wrote one page. I cry, I feel lighter, I take a spontaneous deep breath.

Over the years, the exercises I have developed in my journaling practice have helped me go deeper - they are tools for the psychic goldmining process.

“A symbol is a living, organic entity which acts as a releaser and transformer of psychic energy.” Edward Edinger

Every beginning in my art or writing comes from a symbol. Sometimes, it is an image that keeps coming up in my mind or a dream, a word that grabs my attention, a story or myth that feels very charged. In this quote, Edinger’s mention of psychic energy refers to the energy that comes from our psyche and relates to our unconscious.

Creativity is a process of unraveling and uncovering that energy in the language of the psyche to find a deeper meaning to our experiences and learn more about ourselves.

I find it so powerful, and even after years of practice, I am in awe of where it can take me.

Join me at and on Tuesday, March 31st, to celebrate Spring.

This is a creative and fun evening to create the cover of a journal that will be your companion this Spring season. We will begin with a meditative practice to be "in the flow" and center our creativity. Then we will explore simple mixed-media techniques such as mark-making, collage, and hand sewing to create the cover of our journal.

This is a space centered on finding meaning, creating connection, and taking time for yourself. 💖

- All materials and instructions will be provided, and no prior experience is required
- Registration & details in bio and on my website

Last Fall, after a dream, I started a new Soul Book.

This is the most nourishing and enriching practice I have, and I work with art to enter into a process, into a dialogue with my soul. The goal is not to fix or find a solution or resolve anything, but to explore.

The movement of the process itself is at the center.

Images, symbols, and sensations are more potent to our psyche than narratives. They free us and expand the field in which we grow.

From my last newsletter - New Seasons, New Question:

The turning of the seasons is a reminder that we change just as our environment, daylight, temperature, and age.

Spring is traditionally, and logically, associated with renewal. And it is a good time to ask ourselves:
- “What do I want to renew?”
(Not everything needs to be renewed).
- How am I different this season, compared to last Spring, or a few years ago?

And always, taking a fresh perspective on the eternally relevant question:
“What do I need?”

A deep journaling practice is not just about the words. It’s about embodied meaning and sensations:
Writing upside down
When trying to make sense of my experiences,
Hand sewing notes in my language of origin
When childhood memories resurface,
Or writing in a labyrinthine shape
When working with the myth of the Minotaur.

Every dimension, every symbolic gesture and intention participates to our personal deepening.
To the development of Soul.

Insight without embodiment doesn’t integrate.
And embodiment without meaning doesn’t transform.

There are bridges between our psyche, our body, our emotions, and our identities.
When I first started my somatic awareness journey, I had no idea where they were and thought mine were broken. But I realized these bridges were hidden by my internal jungle of beliefs, constraints, personal history, dissociation, and compartmentalization.

To reclaim them is to experience myself as a Living Body.

I am nearing the end of a three-month somatic trauma therapies training, finishing the year in softness and repair to balance the intensity and depth of the journey.

Trauma is the Great Fragmenter.
The inquiry is: what did it fragment? Self confidence, intimate relationships, body connection, individuation process, dysregulation of motivation, interpersonal connection… most likely it touches several layers and areas.

As someone who works with body awareness and helps people to find balance and relieve pain, this topic is central to my practice.
