We were grateful to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with survivors and brothers and sisters in the badge at the C.O.P.S. Conference in New Orleans.
To every survivor we met — thank you for your courage.
To every agency represented — thank you for continuing to take care of your people.
And a special thank-you to the peer support teams and culturally competent therapists who show up every single day to walk this difficult path with our first responder community. Your work saves lives, restores hope, and keeps families whole.
At Harbor of Grace, we believe healing happens in community — and this community is as strong as they come.

Thirty three years ago today I began my personal journey of sobriety. I am grateful to all who have helped me along the way as I approach this new milestone with humility. Since the beginning of my journey, I have steadfastly remained committed to helping others who suffer, to include over 4,000 who have sought help from Harbor of Grace National Law Enforcement and First Responder Wellness Center.
My life’s mission is to pass the miracle of recovery to those that still suffer.
Thank you God for choosing me.

Please head over to our Linkedin page to read our November Newsletter which features an article on our very own First Responder Therapist Ethan Strauss LCSW-C. Ethan explores how real growth happens when First Responders — and all of us — choose connection over isolation, even when it’s uncomfortable. In a culture that rewards toughness and self-reliance, he reminds us that true strength comes from reaching out. His story shows that healing and resilience begin when we relearn how to connect.

A Conversation with First Responder Therapist Ethan Strauss LCSW-C Inside the calm of Harbor of Grace’s clinical offices, Ethan Strauss speaks in the steady rhythm of someone who’s spent nearly two decades listening to human beings search for balance. He doesn’t talk like a clinician deliverin...

Our Approach

Harbor of Grace Enhanced Recovery Center is a comprehensive continuum of care destination for individuals suffering from alcoholism and other chemical dependency addictions. Located in Harford County at the mouth of the Susquehanna River on the Western Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Harbor of Grace delivers a holistic approach to substance abuse treatment, addressing the needs of the patient’s mind, body and spirit. Research confirms that a most patients require much more than a traditional 28-day inpatient rehabilitation stay to build the foundation necessary to achieve quality recovery from addiction. We take an individual at the most vulnerable time in their treatment and provide a stabilizing environment while building the recovery-based coping strategies necessary to achieve long-term sobriety.
