1 year ago today a friend, husband, dad and dedicated first responder made the decision to end his watch, due to the traumas of the job he so loved.

He is not the first and unfortunately will not be the last. PTSD and Su***de among first responders is at an all time high.

For thise suffering, understand that you are not alone, the island you feel so alone on is full of first responders with similar stories. Reach out, find a peer group of first responders that. An help you drop the rock you have been carrying for so long. We understand because we have lived similar lives.

Today is PTSD Awareness Day — June 27, 2025.
We honor the strength, sacrifice, and silent struggles of our first responders.

FROST (First Responders Overcoming Service Trauma) is a peer support platform built by first responders for first responders. Our mission is simple: to stand beside those who serve, providing a safe, judgment-free space to be heard, supported, and never alone.

➡️ Studies show that between 20-30% of first responders develop PTSD at some point in their careers — significantly higher than the general population.
➡️ Firefighters and law enforcement officers are more likely to die by su***de than in the line of duty.
➡️ Emergency medical professionals experience alarming levels of anxiety, depression, and burnout, with many going untreated due to stigma or lack of access to support.

It doesn’t have to be this way.
Together, we can break the silence.
Together, we are stronger.

Today, we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, dedicating their lives to protecting our freedoms and values.

The FROST family recognizes the challenges of reintegration and the ongoing battles many veterans face, from PTSD to the invisible scars that remain long after service. We understand the importance of mental health advocacy, and today is a reminder, all veterans deserve support. Your strength doesn’t just lie in the battles fought, but in the journey of healing and resilience that follows.

To all those who have served, we honor and thank you.
To the families who support them, we see you and stand with you.
To those still struggling, we are here for you. You are not alone.

This week was my 59th birthday. My amazing wife planned a trip to Nashville to fulfill one of my life long dreams, to sit in a seat at the Grand Ole Opry and watch a show that I remember watching at my grandparents house as a child. Not only did she plan this trip she also won tickets for the back stage tour, wow, just absolutely amazing.

Those who know me, know I don’t post much. So why now? Because my wife is the most amazing partner a man could ever ask for. We have been. Through so many situations together and every time we come out on the other side a stronger couple. My wife pays attention to my words, my body language, my demeanor and my mood. Most days she knows what I am thinking, how I feel, what is on my mind and what I need. My wife is my best friend, my soulmate, my anchor and my forever.

When you started reading this I am sure you thought this was going to be about me! In a way it is. Some couples are like oil and water, they never come together, always have something pushing them apart but still work at the relationship. If you find what I have found, don’t ever let it go, it is a once in a lifetime.

Samantha, thank you for being you, knowing me, being my everything, sharing life with me, making every life experience more amazing then the one before and painting a picture of our future that is brighter than the sun.

You are my sunshine!!!

9/11 was a tragic day for our country that everyone around the world will remember.

9/12 showed the world the strength and resilience of the United States. Now if only the people of this country could come together and live every day like it was 9/12, the United States would be an amazing place.

On 9/12 we were one, discrimination didn’t exist, political differences didn’t exist, religious difference didn’t exist, gender difference didn’t matter, the only thing on the minds and heart of US citizens was coming together as one people to protect the soil we live in and the very fabric of our democracy.

We need to live every day, one day at a time and that day would be living as if every day was 9/12….. fight, fight, fight.
